I’ve been wanting to try out Tom Ford Eyeshadow for a long time, and when I saw the Tom Ford Iris Bronze Eye & Lip Set included in this year’s Nordstrom Sale, it was one of the first items to go into my cart. As I write this the set is sold out online, though if you keep an eye on the page I wouldn’t be surprised to see it restocked. The set should still be available in stores. The lip colors are also available individually.
The set comes in a really very nice and substantial box, which I promptly threw away. Inside you’ll find the Iris Bronze Eyeshadow Quad and 2 mini lipsticks. The packaging for the actual products is also very heavy duty, made of metal and closing with satisfying clicks. They feel and scream luxury.
Overall I was pretty impressed with the eyeshadows in the Iris Bronze Quad. They are well pigmented, almost creamy in their consistency. From the information I can locate online, the shades are all limited editions only in this quad. I’ll splurge on another quad sometime, likely Nude Dip. I’ve found that the quad is easy to use during the day or for a smokier evening look.
Sometime when it isn’t raining (as it is while I’m typing this on Monday), I’ll use it and get a picture to share! Currently I have the lightest shade #1 all over my lid, the next lightest #2 is on my mobile lid with #3 on the outer corner. I applied black eyeliner to my lash line and then used a smudge brush to apply #4 over the liner and also along the bottom lash.
I’ve used Tom Ford lip colors previously and while I liked them, I haven’t yet found a color that I love. I think that’s about to change with Spiced Honey, which is a light nude-peach that somehow doesn’t wash me out.
