Pregnancy Safe Skincare from Clarins

What products from Clarins are ok to use while pregnant?

Pregnancy safe skincare can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products. The list has gotten so large that I’ve decided to start listing brands in their own individual posts.

Here you’ll find every pregnancy safe skincare product from Clarins as of 12/28/2017. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. If they release a new product it might not be listed here, please comment below and I will add it. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.

On my next review I will add every other product to the other categories so you’ll know why I didn’t consider them to be safe.

Please note, it can take up to an hour to review the ingredient lists of each product. I review with my own list of pregnancy safe criteria. I obtain my ingredient lists from the brands and major retailers (typically Nordstrom and Sephora), and I review the US versions. Please do not ask me to re-review the same products over and over, I do not have the time to do so, and many people have been rude about this. For more brands, please head over to the list of pregnancy safe products.

Hi. Is the clarins stretch mark minimizer lotion safe? Thanks!

It looks ok. But you should know that studies haven’t found any topical products to be any better than just using a good cream and massaging it in, I don’t think I’d waste money on it. And I love Clarins usually!

Thanks! So what kind of good cream is best? Just like a vaseline type balm? I have to avoid nut oils (allergy) like sweet almond and macadamia, etc.

Just anything hydrating that you have to work into the skin, it isn’t so much the moisturization as it is the actual massaging into the skin. Cetaphil or Aquaphor would even work!

Hi, is Beauty Flash Balm sage?
    Thank you

I reviewed the entire Clarins line in late 2017 as stated in the post. If your product isn’t listed and was out at that time (and Beauty Balm is one of their old classics), then it isn’t pregnancy safe.

As noted in the post, I have reviewed every product from Clarins. If your product isn’t included it is because I didn’t consider it safe.

I’m a little confused about this product though. It has the same name as the Extra Firming Day Cream All Skin Types (someplaces it’s called Extra Firming Day and some places it’s called Extra Firming Jour) that you listed above, but your link shows a bottle that’s a different color. Does that mean it’s a different product or just different packaging? I’d really appreciate it if you could take a quick glance on the ingredients above just in case. Thank you!!!

That’s at least an hour of work honestly, there isn’t a “quick glance”. It’s likely the same product in a different package.

Thank you for all your work, and research It’s not an easy job so I hope you know you’re appreciated. Also, thank you for commenting on Clarins Stretch Mark Minimiser, I’ve been unable to find a safety review I could trust. You mentioned there’s so evidence to suggest it’s effectiveness, however I already have a bottle of it, and wondered if you feel comfortable continuing to use it as a moisturizer irrespectively. I was just worried because it wasn’t on the list so assumed it may not have been safe.
Thank you again, you have no idea how often I refer to your articles

For this list I’ve only shown the ones that are safe, but I’ve gone over the entire brand as of the date above. If it isn’t included and was released before then, I didn’t consider it safe.

And if you don’t mind giving your input which one would you recommend for a 32 year old? I’m concerned about the wrinkles, radiance and dryness. Thank you so much!

I’d concentrate on the radiance and dryness while pregnant, add in a retinoid cream after you’re done nursing to fight wrinkles. This one and this one are both good, from Clarins and pregnancy safe. 🙂

The first has a salicylic acid derivative to avoid (SALICYLOYL PHYTOSPHINGOSINE), ok while nursing though
The serum looks ok to me
