Pregnancy Safe Products from The Organic Pharmacy

Pregnancy Safe Products from The Organic Pharmacy

Pregnancy safe beauty products can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products.

Here you’ll find pregnancy safe products from The Organic Pharmacy as of 12/23/2021. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.

Don’t See Your Product? Read This Before You Ask About It…

Please read the Pregnancy Beauty Guide intro first, where you will learn which products you actually need to worry about (spoiler alert, you don’t need to worry about all makeup or hair products). I will not review products that fall into the “don’t worry about it” categories. If you want to ask about a specific product, I require that you follow these guidelines for asking about pregnancy/nursing safety. You can also learn more about how to use these pregnancy safety lists. I will delete questions that don’t follow the guidelines or are rude.

You can also find The Organic Pharmacy at Bergdorf Goodman, SkinStore and Bloomingdale’s

I screened this brand with the ingredients on DermStore, as they were not on the brand’s website when I checked. Per DermStore these are the ingredients:
Aloe (Aloe Barbadensis)*, Squalane (Vegetable), Glycerin (vegetable)*, Beeswax (Cera Alba), Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate, Sodium Lactate, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Rose Geranium (Perlagonium Graveolens)*, Parfum (Fragrance), Sucrose Polystearate, Benzyl Alcohol, Magnesium Sulfate, Aqua (Water), Polyglyceryl-3 Ricinoleate, Sunflower Oil (Helianthus Annus), Vitamin E (Tocopherol), Sorbic Acid, Citronellol, Eugenol, Geraniol, Linalool.

Note, there isn’t salicylic acid (and it’s also spelled wrong in the brand’s list?) I’m a bit confused. I would check my actual packaging.

Many thanks for the great help!

It would be helpful and you would not have to receive requested to review the same products if after your review you would add them to your initial list.

Sometimes the comments are hundreds and is not easy to check them all.

        Just an idea..

I do not add a product to my list unless I have myself seen the ingredient list from what I consider a legit source, as there are websites and retailers out there with incorrect lists, and these lists also vary by country. Many of the comments on this page in particular are from outside the US. Stating a product is safe within the US based on a Singapore ingredient list is not an option for me, you’re in Germany and you have products not available here in the US and they are likely to be different than my versions. I’m fine with answering about a list if a reader considers that list to be legit, but I’m not putting it in my list. I get many rude comments about things like that, if I have a slightly different list than the product someone has, even if it is due to a product change or being from a different country, I get emails and comments attacking me. Thanks though.

It’s much easier to do a command-F and search for keywords from your product name rather than manually checking the comments.

Hi! First of all, thank you for the incredible job you do giving us precious information on what to use and not to use in pregnancy and breastfeeding! I have a question regarding a product from The Organic Pharmacy. I have been breastfeeding for 14 months now and I have been usign this product for two months and a half. The product I’m talking about is called Niacinamide Ultra 5 Serum and these are the ingredients in it, from their website: “*Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Niacinamide, Aqua (Water), *Glycerin, Lactobacillus Ferment, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Bakuchiol, Benzyl Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Lecithin , Salicylic Acid, Sclerotium Gum, Pullulan, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Citrate, Citric Acid, Sorbic Acid, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Silica, Parfum (Fragrance), Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalool, Eugenol, Citral, Limonene.*Ingredients from organic farming.” I know there is a certain uncertainty in the scientific community on bakuchiol, but all the sources I have read, have always reassured me on the use of this ingredient while breastfeeding. Could you tell me your view on this, please? Thank you so much in advance! I am so in love with this product, I hope I can continue using it, yes: but in complete safety for my child! Thank you!

I would avoid the bakuchiol while pregnant and nursing, it works exactly like a retinoid so I screen it as such. I would also avoid the salicylic acid while pregnant.
