Hi, I was using Too Faced Born this Way foundation pre pregnancy and used it a few times while pregnant before I knew that I was. Hi Doctor- Thanks so much for your lists, which are really helping me out. Is it possible that not all the Born This Way foundation has chemical sunscreen? I can’t find anything on mine about it having SPF/sun protection. Would like to continue using if it’s safe during pregnancy, but of course I want to be careful. Thank you so much!
Brands very frequently add sunscreens to prolong shelf life, adding the SPF is an expensive testing process and they don’t always bother with it. The chemical sunscreen most often used for this is Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (which is what they’ve included in this foundation), but Benzophenone-3 4 or 5 is often used as well.

I read that Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme is listed as safe during pregnancy but contains Phenoxyethanol. Was just curious what your thoughts are on products with Phenoxyethanol and pregnancy? Thank you!
You can pretty much find info out there about avoiding everything possible, much of which isn’t based on much. It’s not considered an ingredient to avoid by the medical community.
