As mentioned in the post, I need a full ingredient list to review your product as I’ve reviewed all of the ones I have access to. More info here: why I need an ingredient list to comment on product safety. Note, I do not follow links from readers, I need the actual list.
However, with that name it’s likely to have a retinoid and need to be avoided in both pregnancy and nursing.

Do powders with retinyl palmitate still stay on the no list? I have one from the company Kay Casperson that I’m curious about.
Well, in theory powders aren’t absorbed and sit on the surface of the skin (more info here: Pregnancy Safe Makeup) but if it makes you nervous at all I would just switch to something else. No need to fret over your powder 🙂

Just wanted to ask a question about the Butter Drench Restorative Rich Cream – on the Bare Minerals website, I don’t see anything about essential oils being used as fragrance, but on the outside of the box, it says bergamot and eucalyptus are used. It has a very, very light scent, so I would imagine not much is used, but are these oils safe to use in skincare during pregnancy?

Is this something to be concerned about since fake tanners are not recommended?

Ok, I initially replied that the powder argument would apply, but this is odd because it’s a sunless tanner (never pregnancy safe) and they claim it works (note, I know a lot of people who say it doesn’t work very well), so maybe some absorption?? It’s odd. I wouldn’t use while pregnant.

What are your feelings on CYCLOPENTASILOXANE? I have seen it listed as an ingredient in lots of foundations (including bare minerals and too faced born this way) but have read that it can interfere with hormones.. should this be avoided when pregnant? Thanks
You can pretty much find info out there about avoiding everything possible, much of which isn’t based on much. It’s not considered an ingredient to avoid by the medical community. You don’t need to screen them. Your hair can’t absorb anything, they’re basically mascaras. So use whatever you want.

I’m not certain if the Globularia Cordifolia Callus Culture Extract is a stem cell ingredient. Sometimes stem cells are listed this way, but not always. I would check into what the brand is claiming about stem cells in the product. My concerns are in this post: skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy.
