What are the technical ingredient names for chemical sunscreen? I noticed Dior Lip Glow is noted as not safe for this same reason, but it’s not promoted as SPF. Thx!

#1 is ok, but #2 has chemical sunscreens and licorice root, so it’s ok for nursing but not pregnancy.

Hello – I am wondering if you may know if/when Dior changed the formulation for Lip Glow? I am concerned w/ the chemical sunscreen: ETHYLHEXYL METHOXYCINNAMATE. That must be a very new change, but I didn’t notice the websites are different. I know it was safe when I was pregnant, though I have it listed already here with the sunscreen in it.
I used Dior lip glow frequently. is it dangerous ? I’m pregnant at 15w.
Lip glow is under ok for nursing but not pregnancy due to chemical sunscreens, which are linked to a specific birth defect called hirschsprung’s disease.

This is odd, because it DEFINITELY had a chemical sunscreen before. and these lists don’t match for the same product? They have a lot of different versions of the lip glows, but something strange is going on currently with reformulations would be my guess. Both of these look ok to me for pregnancy and nursing. I’m making myself a note to come back and check on this in a month or so. These things happen during reformulations and I move things around to their new locations when ingredient lists match again. In the meantime I’m going to leave Lip Glow where it is since I’m sure the old formulation is still out there in stores.

Those are not considered ingredients to avoid by the medical community. My list of ingredients that I screen out is very conservative and it’s here: skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy

I was just wondering if Dior’s Airflash Foundation is truly safe for pregnancy since it comes in an aerosol can? I would assume breathing it in could be harmful??
Even when not pregnant you should be holding your breath when spraying yourself with products, and then stepping out of the cloud of product to avoid inhaling. If I put it in a category of safety, then it really does belong there. I just don’t recommend breathing in any products.

Thank you for this! I know, I have so many lipsticks I did not need more, but this promised many good good things so I obviously had to try. I ended up getting a berry color so I could truly see its lasting power. I put it on at 9am and it was gone by the end of my lunch at 1pm. It was good until I had my meal though, and did disappear form my lips pretty evenly and didn’t get on anything/anyone. I did line my lips first and the color did bleed a bit upon application until it dried out so you def want to smooth out the line before it sets!
Okay last bit, I think if your lips are cracked it would definitely show that, so it’s not as hydrating as it says but it’s super comfortable.
Hmmm…. Might be worth trying then! Have you tried those 2 sided ones from Chanel? I love them, but it’s a pain to reapply the gloss all the time, because they’re only comfortable that way. But, they last all day!
I would say I LOVE those Chanel ones (have multiple and color doesn’t matter to its greatness). I would rank them higher than the Dior for sure!

Hello doc. I saw that dior backstage is safe for pregnant. But I’ve read somewhere that aluminum hydroxide is not safe.
