Pregnancy safe skincare can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products. The list has gotten so large that I’ve decided to start listing brands in their own individual posts.
Here you’ll find pregnancy safe products from Pixi Beauty as of 6/24/2019. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. If they release a new product that is not listed here, please comment below and I will add it. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.
Please refer to my post on pregnancy safe makeup, where I explain why you don’t need to worry about your mascara, powders, eyeliners, brow products, etc. I do not review these products.
How to Request a Product Review
I try to review all of the products that I can when I publish a list. Note, I am in the US and I only have access to US products. Please don’t be rude if I skipped your favorite cleanser, when items are out of stock sometimes they aren’t on the brand’s site, or maybe you are in Asia and I am in the US.
I reserve the comments on each post for reviews of product from that brand, this makes it easier for others to find products later. Please only ask about Pixi Beauty on this post, I will delete other product questions. You can find other brands here. If your brand is not included, please ask on the brand list post..

Hi please review NIACID
Is this safe?
https://slurp.co.kr/products/niacid
pharmacuetical transDermal{Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate, Butylene Glycol, Niacinamide, Glycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Tranexamic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Snail Secretion Filtrate, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, Ethylhexylglycerin, Brassica Oleracea Capitata Leaf Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana Extract, Sodium Guaiazulene Sulfonate}distillated
This is ok for nursing but not pregnancy due to the willow bark (a salicylate) and snail secretion.
Pixi has a new jasmine retinol line, which obviously means none of it can be used if you’re pregnant. But I thought I would mention it 🙂
Yes! Adding it to my list is on my to do list, somehow the list is growing bigger exponentially LOL
I’ve been using the Correction Concentrate + I’m now 10 weeks pregnant. I’m shocked to discover it contains retinoid as it’s make-up rather than skincare. Obviously I don’t intend to use it again. But as it’s Retinyl Palmitate rather than Retinol, does that mean it’s not as strong? It was the bottom of the ingredients list. Worried about the consequences of using this. I’d meticulously checked all my skincare before getting pregnant!
It’s not as strong, but there’s still a theoretical risk so we recommend avoiding it. I have more info about this kind of situation in my pregnancy beauty FAQ

No, I would avoid it while pregnant and nursing due to a retinoid and glycolic acid
Thank you so much 🙂

Thank you so much for creating these lists – skincare in pregnancy is such a flipping minefield!! This must have taken ages, so thank you x
Why is glycolic acid not safe for pregnancy? I have seen many posts that say it is safe and a good alternative to salycic Acid? I would love to know because I have been buying products that have glycolic acid instead of salycic acid. Thank you
That discussion is here:
skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy
Your webside is simply amazing! Thank you ❤️
Thank you for compiling this list. It is so helpful and quite tedious, I’m sure. Do you mind reviewing Pixi Collagen Tonic:

Looks ok!
Thank you so much!
Is it bad that I used the wake up mist once at week 7? I’m now at week 10.
Can a harm be made by one time use? Obviously I won’t use it again.
Thanks for that important list.
One time use is unlikely to cause issues, but there’s info here if you’ve used something that isn’t safe:
pregnancy beauty FAQ
Hello,
I’ve red that glycolic acid less than 10% is safe for pregnancy, i just found out that am pregnancy is it safe to continue using glow tonic from pixi since it contains 5% glyolic acid only?
Glycolic acid isn’t universally accepted as safe, and having a certain % that is safe, implies that we 1) know what levels in the body are safe/unsafe for pregnancy (we don’t, we don’t even know that it’s safe) and 2) absorption is fully the same at all times (it isn’t, your skin will absorb more when you’re irritated for example)
skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy
Is the Pixi collagen eye serum with acacia collagen & adenosine
Okay to use during pregnancy (mainly the adenosine) or is it such a low dose
I have currently reviewed all products in this brand that I can. I require a full ingredient list to review your product, more info here:
why I need an ingredient list to comment on product safety
Wow! Thank you so much for doing this!
Hi, thank you so much for this lists!
I am really hoping if you can help me with this. I am 5 weeks pregnant, just found out and I’ve been using pixi vitamin C serum, as well as the Luna Night Sleeping oil, that both contain retinol, until now. I stopped using them, but I am still worried a lot. Should I be worried or is it ok as long as I stopped using them?
Thank you so much! I greatly appreciate your help!
I have info on these situations in this post:
pregnancy beauty FAQ
THANK YOU for researching and creating this list. I’ve been using the glow tonic while nursing and am trying to get pregnant. I’m happy to have a definitive answer.
Is cream with below ingredients safe during pregnancy:
