A lot of products include chemical sunscreens to prolong product stability and therefore shelf life, but they don’t include enough to bother going through the expensive testing needed to be able to proclaim SPF value.
In this product it is benzophenone-4, that’s one of the more common ingredients used for this purpose.

Safe for pregnancy and nursing
Hi! I was looking through the Ouai rose oil ingredients and I don’t know if they have changed but I can’t find benzophenone-4 or the other chemical sunscreen ive been able to google. Is it possible to have a list of what ingredients are considered chemical sunscreens? I really don’t know them very well (at all) 🙁
The list is very long. The chemical sunscreen in that product is much more common actually, it’s Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate.
Some info here: Why did you say this product has sunscreen when there isn’t an SPF?

This is fine for pregnancy and nursing, but read the section on which products you need to worry about. Wave spray isn’t used on the scalp, that’s why I didn’t screen it previously.
Q: I noticed you put the ouai fine shampoo as not safe. Can I ask why? I’m looking at getting it but I follow all your guides. But I read that hemp seed extract is fine for lactating moms?
