Pregnancy Safe Skincare from Maelove

Pregnancy Safe Skincare from Maelove
Pregnancy safe beauty products can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products. The list has gotten so large that I’ve decided to start listing brands in their own individual posts.

Here you’ll find pregnancy safe products from Maelove as of 12/12/2021. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.

Don’t See Your Product? Read This Before You Ask About It…

Please read the Pregnancy Beauty Guide intro first, where you will learn which products you actually need to worry about (spoiler alert, you don’t need to worry about all makeup or hair products). I will not review products that fall into the “don’t worry about it” categories. If you want to ask about a specific product, I require that you follow these guidelines for asking about pregnancy/nursing safety. You can also learn more about how to use these pregnancy safety lists. I will delete questions that don’t follow the guidelines or are rude.

    Hi Dr. !

“One Cream” has squalane in it. Is it still pregnancy safe?

I have already reviewed all products in this brand that I have access to their ingredient list, please refer to the post about how to request a product review. I need a full ingredient list to review your product, more info here: why I need an ingredient list to comment on product safety. I do NOT follow links from readers as people have tried to hack me that way.

Hi! Thanks so much for compiling these lists. I just bought the maelove bundle with the glow maker, nia 10 and the hydrator B5/HA. The hydrator one has a different label than what is pictured on the website and it reads that it is with “panthenol (looks like that’s just B5) and Resveratrol” in it. I wasn’t sure if this was an ingredient change or if this was listed in the original review of the products when you looked them up in December. I just wasn’t sure if Resveratrol was safe. Thanks so much in advance!

They just changed labels, that’s all. Both of those ingredients are fine.

Avoid in pregnancy and nursing due to the arbutin and kojic acid. I would also avoid the licorice root while pregnant.

Ok for nursing but not pregnancy due to licorice root
note, this list doesn’t have the sunscreens, but regardless it would be in the same safety category.
