A Warming Makeup Removal Plate?? Panasonic Micro-Foaming Facial Cleansing Device Review

Panasonic Micro-Foaming Facial Cleansing Device Review

I’m a big fan of a great cleansing brush. Give me any tool to make cleaning my skin more effective and I am going to be all over that! Most of the ones out there are variations on a theme: nylon or silicone bristles, they either rotate or have sonic vibrations. They all do a much better job of taking off your dirt and makeup than just using your hands, and some offer additional benefits like carrying cases for travel.

This cleansing brush is different. And if you’re a skin care junkie, you’re going to love what makes it different.

So, this brush. It kind of looks like other deep cleansing facial brushes, doesn’t it? The bristles of the brush are a bit longer (and softer), so it is a very gentle cleaning. If you’re like me and can’t use other cleansing brushes every day because your skin is a little too sensitive (even with the “sensitive” brush head) then this will be a big bonus.

You’ll see that there are 2 different kinds of brush heads included in the kit, the long nylon bristled one, and a second that is smaller with soft silicone bristles. These brush heads are very easy to pop on and off, even with your hands wet. The longer bristles are great for an all over gentle clean, while the smaller silicone head is great for a deeper clean in targeted areas. For me that’s right around my nose and in the center of my forehead. The smaller size means that it can really get around my nose very easily, which I love!

The second thing you should notice about the brush is that the center looks… hollow? In the upper left picture? That’s because if you look in the lower right, there’s a little cap you pop open. Instead of pouring your cleanser over the top like with other cleansing brushes, here you pour it directly into the brush. Just put a little in there and you’ll get just the right amount of cleanser on to your brush head for washing your face!

In the lower left you’ll see where you plug the brush in, it has a cord that plugs into the side for charging the brush.

Here’s where things get really different. Look at the picture above again. It’s right there, but you probably didn’t even notice it. The end of the brush handle, where it is that pretty rose gold-coppery color? That’s not just a pretty accent color. It is a “Warming Makeup Removal Plate”!

The Warming Makeup Removal Plate is pretty easy to use. You apply a cleanser to your face (it works best with an oil one), and you can select low or high heat. It heats up, and it feels really great on your skin when you rub it on there. It isn’t hot enough to be uncomfortable, it’s enough to feel great. It took me a while to decide how much the plate was helping. Sure, it felt good, but was the extra step necessary? I don’t really notice much of a difference when I use the plate on a “light” makeup day. But if you’re wearing more makeup, and in particular if anything is waterproof, the plate does help!

On days that I’m wearing foundation, I’ve been using the Warming Makeup Removal Plate with an oil cleanser, and then following that up with a light facial cleanser using the regular brush. I only use the smaller, more targeted brush a few times a week.

The end result is that my skin is definitely cleaner, and it is gentle enough for my sensitive rosacea skin.

What do you think, are you as intrigued by the Warming Makeup Removal Plate as I was?
