That has a couple of forms of licorice root in it and I would avoid.

This is probably a dumb question. But wanted to clarify, The “safe for pregnancy” safe for nursing also? I know there’s something you can take while pregnant but not nursing. I’m so happy I found your website!
Yes, pregnancy is stricter than nursing. If it is safe for pregnancy then it is ok for nursing.
Hi! Tacha’s website states that all their products are safe for pregnancy. I looked At the ingredients for the kissu lip mask but I don’t see licorice root listed. Should I really avoid this product?
The licorice root ingredient in that product is Stearyl Glycyrrhetinate.

I would not screen the product as one to avoid in pregnancy if I didn’t think you didn’t need to avoid it… so your question is a bit odd to me. I think you should avoid it. Brands have a different viewpoint sometimes. But on my website you’ll get my opinion, not that of the brand. It’s up to you who you want to listen to.

There are a lot of licorice root derivatives, look for the Glycyrrh… at the beginning of a word.

When it’s found in an extract or oil it’s fine. It’s when it is added as a retinoid that there’s a concern (it’s also ok when added in as beta-carotene)
