Pregnancy Safe Skincare from Summer Fridays

Which products from Summer Fridays are safe to use while pregnant?

Pregnancy safe skincare can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products. The list has gotten so large that I’ve decided to start listing brands in their own individual posts.

Here you’ll find pregnancy safe skincare product from Summer Fridays as of 3/9/2019. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. If they release a new product that is not listed here, please comment below and I will add it. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.

Please note, it can take up to an hour to review the ingredient lists of each product. I review with my own list of pregnancy safe criteria. I obtain my ingredient lists from the brands and major retailers (typically Nordstrom and Sephora), and I review the US versions. Please do not ask me to re-review the same products over and over, I do not have the time to do so, and many people have been rude about this. For more brands, please head over to the list of pregnancy safe products.

I love the Jet Lag mask! Just a quick note to other pregnant ladies though: the mask was GREAT for me before I got pregnant. But since I got pregnant, this mask gives me an allergic reaction. My skin immediately gets red, itchy and splotchy and it lasts for nearly 5 days. The first time I thought it was a fluke and something else triggered it, so I tried using the mask a few weeks later. The same thing happened. My skin is dried out, leathery, itchy and has big red splotches (looks like rosacea). So just a tip to other pregnant ladies that this mask might give them a reaction despite its pregnancy safe ingredients!

Unfortunately that isn’t particular to just this mask, pregnancy is a “sensitizing time”, meaning you are much more likely to react to things and develop allergies now. Sometimes they’ll resolve, but not always. That’s actually why I typically recommend gentle, simple products for pregnancy skincare (there’s more info in my pregnancy skincare book), and avoiding anything with a lot of extracts.
