Pregnancy Safe Skincare from OleHenrikson

What products from Ole Henrikson are safe to use while pregnant?

Pregnancy safe skincare can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products. The list has gotten so large that I’ve decided to start listing brands in their own individual posts.

Here you’ll find every pregnancy safe skincare product from OleHenrikson as of 1/7/2018. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. If they release a new product that is not listed here, please comment below and I will add it. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.

On my next review I will add every other product to the other categories so you’ll know why I didn’t consider them to be safe.

Please note, it can take up to an hour to review the ingredient lists of each product. I review with my own list of pregnancy safe criteria. I obtain my ingredient lists from the brands and major retailers (typically Nordstrom and Sephora), and I review the US versions. Please do not ask me to re-review the same products over and over, I do not have the time to do so, and many people have been rude about this. For more brands, please head over to the list of pregnancy safe products.

I agree with Ana! Thank you so much for doing this! I realized that the Ole Henriksen «Express the Truth Moisturizing Creme» with African red tea extract, vitamin C derivatives and jojoba seed oil, is also not on there. I just bought a huge bottle as I thought it was the newer version of the Truth Advanced Moisturizing Creme, but then I realized that they were two different cremes. These are the ingredients:

Aqua/Water/Eau, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethyl Macadamiate, Parfum/Fragrance, Glycerin, Triisostearyl Citrate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Palmitic Acid, Stearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Ceteareth-20, Carbomer, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Laurate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Sorbitan Stearate, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitol, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Hydroxide, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Vegetable Oil, Polyepsilon-Lysine, Caramel, Allantoin, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Root Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Sodium PCA, Calcium Ascorbate, Magnesium Gluconate, Zinc Gluconate, Methylsilanol Mannuronate, Phenoxyethanol, Aspalathus Linearis Leaf Extract, Copper Gluconate, Myristic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol, Sorbic Acid, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Malic Acid, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Limonene, Linalool.

    Is this safe?

    Thanks again! Love from Norway.

No, it isn’t due to the salicylic acid. Please note I’ve reviewed the entire line and only the safe products are included here.

Hello! Wow is this list a huge help! Thank you for putting it together. I tried to find out on my own with helpful info on your ingredients page but my scrambled egg pregnancy/mom to a toddler brain wants to make sure I’m not missing anything. I know they both have citric acid and because I am in my third trimester and it’s more toward the end of the ingredient list I am ok with that. Am I overlooking an ingredient that isn’t suitable for pregnancy? If so are these products suitable for nursing? Due in 3 weeks! Thanks in advance

The first has licorice root and the second has both glycolic acid and licorice root. I wouldn’t use them during pregnancy but they’re fine for nursing.

Both have licorice root and bakuchiol, which is claimed to act just like retinoids, and I haven’t felt comfortable clearing that as safe given it does sound like it has the same mechanism of action.
