Pregnancy Safe Skincare from Caudalie

What skincare is safe to use from Caudalie while pregnant?

Pregnancy safe skincare can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products. The list has gotten so large that I’ve decided to start listing brands in their own individual posts.

Here you’ll find every pregnancy safe skincare product from Caudalie as of 9/9/2018. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. If they release a new product that is not listed here, please comment below and I will add it. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.

On my next review I will add every other product to the other categories so you’ll know why I didn’t consider them to be safe.

Please note, it can take up to an hour to review the ingredient lists of each product. I review with my own list of pregnancy safe criteria. I obtain my ingredient lists from the brands and major retailers (typically Nordstrom and Sephora), and I review the US versions. Please do not ask me to re-review the same products over and over, I do not have the time to do so, and many people have been rude about this. For more brands, please head over to the list of pregnancy safe products.

The Caudalie website says some of their products aren’t BF safe, but you have them listed here as safe. I’ve been using them and am curious- are they safe or not? I’m hoping they are otherwise I would feel awful! Have you seen their website?

I haven’t seen that on the caudalie site, but my list of things to avoid is pretty conservative. I’m not sure what they are saying to avoid that I don’t have on my list.

Hi! Thanks for your info, it is really helpful! I have been looking all over for the products that are safe to use, it is a dificult search until I found your info! Thanks!
I have a question about vinopure natural oil control moisturizer because i can see in the ingredients that it has salicylic acid on it and this compound is usually known as non safe for pregnancy, if you could clarify this to me I would be greatful!
Same with Premier Cru eye treatment because it has caffeine on it.

    Thank you very much!

      Hi Monica,
These are the ingredients for the Vinopure Natureal Oil Control Moisturizer. I don’t see Salicylic Acid listed on the Sephora site and this product isn’t on the Caudalie website. Where are you seeing the salicylic acid, is it on the packaging? You’re right that it should be avoided, I’m just trying to find out where you saw that.

Water, Rosa Damascena Flower Water*, Alcohol*, Glycerin*, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate*, Butylene Glycol*, Silica, C14-22 Alcohols*, Niacinamide, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside*, Palmitoyl Grape Seed Extract*, Tocopherol*, Cymbopogon Citratus Leaf Oil*, Lavandula Hybrida Oil*, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Oil*, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil*, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil*, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil*, Citric Acid*, Sodium Phytate*, Citral*, Citronellol*, Geraniol*, Linalool*, Limonene* (183/074).

      Caffeine is fine in products.

I’m sorry. I made a mistake with the spanish name of the vinopure oil control lotion, it is not the same product than the moisturizer that appears in your post. The oil control moisturizer does not have salicilyc acid.

Thanks a lot and sorry for your trouble!

Thanks! 🙂 I was worried that something I recommended wasn’t safe, I always feel horrible when that happens. Usually it’s a website with the wrong ingredients or a reformulation.

No, the glycolic acid isn’t safe for pregnancy. This would be ok for nursing.
