Pregnancy Safe Skincare from It Cosmetics

Pregnancy Safe Skincare from It Cosmetics

Pregnancy safe skincare can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products. The list has gotten so large that I’ve decided to start listing brands in their own individual posts.

Here you’ll find every pregnancy safe skincare product from It Cosmetics as of 11/14/2020. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. If they release a new product that is not listed here, please comment below and I will add it. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.

Please refer to my post on pregnancy safe makeup, where I explain why you don’t need to worry about your mascara, powders, eyeliners, brow products, etc. I do not review these products.

How to Request a Product Review

I try to review all of the products that I can when I publish a list. Note, I am in the US and I only have access to US products. Please don’t be rude if I skipped your favorite cleanser, when items are out of stock sometimes they aren’t on the brand’s site, or maybe you are in Asia and I am in the US.

I reserve the comments on each post for reviews of product from that brand, this makes it easier for others to find products later. Please only ask about It Cosmetics on this post, I will delete other product questions. You can find other brands here. If your brand is not included, please ask on the brand list post.

The brand lists are always the most updated. I think the difference between the 2 is the retinoid, in between those pages I started listing retinoids as potentially something to avoid while nursing, it depends upon how conservative you want to be. Truthfully, I used retinoid while nursing. But in the last few years more and more physicians have mentioned it as an ingredient to avoid while nursing, though the reason to avoid in pregnancy (birth defects) can no longer be a concern. Nothing new has come out of the ingredient that I’m aware of to result in the change. But that’s it, I’ve started putting retinoids under not safe for either, though the disclaimer above says some of this. I hope that helps!

    Hi there,
I have concerns because before I came across your information I was using IT cosmetics Bye Bye Unde eye anti-aging concealer, which you listed as unsafe due to retinol.

I was also overdosing on Vitamin A (taking two supplements with preformed vitamin A). With diet, I would say that added to a total of 5,300 IU of vitamin A. It stopped at around 5 weeks of pregnancy.

I am very concerned about this and am wondering if you could tell me your professional opinion about birth defects related to all of these things combined.

Thank you very much for your very valuable information and time taken to help new soon-to-be moms.
