A New Twist on Old Favorites from Sephora

Givenchy Pressed Powder, Fenty Vanilla Dream Butta Drop and YSL lip oil

Recently, a few of my favorite beauty items have been reimagined. That cult favorite loose powder that everyone loved? It’s now in pressed form. My favorite neutral lip color? It’s now in an oil. You get the idea. All of these reimaginings are upgrades for me, and they’re also perfect Mother’s Day presents!

All of these products are available at Sephora, where I fully admit that I love to watch for new product drops! As a Rouge Member of the Beauty Insider Program, I’m able to get early access to new products. I’m also a huge fan of the Same Day Delivery option, which is currently on a promo! It’s perfect for buying a last minute Mother’s Day gift! Now through 5/11 (@ 1pm PST) you can use the code ONITSWAY for free Same-Day Delivery! (Note, there’s some exclusions, but it’s really great for grabbing a great gift without needing to make a trip to the store.)

YSL Nude Lavalliere collection

YSL Loveshine Plumping Lip Oil Gloss

I’m a sucker for YSL’s #44 Nude Lavalliere. For me, this is the perfect pinky-nude shade that works amazingly well with my fair skin. I have it in multiple lip stains, traditional lipsticks, butter balms and blushes… you name it. And now it comes in a plumping oil! It’s a very slightly sticky gloss, feels “warming” and does plump my lips a little without burning.

The Nude Lavalliere is a little more sheer in the oil than in some of my other products, but I still love it. I’m probably going to pick up an extra, so I can carry it with me all summer.

Givenchy Pressed Powder and One Size Powder Puff

Givenchy Prisme Libre Blurring & Color-Correcting Matte Pressed Powder

I’m not really a loose powder girl. I want a pressed powder, that puts just a little of the powder on my puff and gives me a lot of control. I also find a pressed powder much easier to travel with. Despite that, I did really love the original Prisme Libre powder. The one with multiple colors and a matte finish? The colors together helped even out my skin tone, and I love the matte finish that didn’t dry out my skin or look cakey. I was pretty surprised when the new version came out, and it was so luminous. But then suddenly… a new pressed powder release! And it’s just as amazing as the previous loose powder, but now it’s easier to travel with and it’s in my preferred form! I’ve been using the #3 Voile Rose shade, and it helps with any redness from my rosacea and also blurs any pores or other skin imperfections.

Fenty Vanilla Dream Butta Drop

Fenty Butta Drop Whipped Oil Body Cream in Vanilla Dream

I’m such a big fan of the original Butta Drop Body Cream that I buy refills and keep the travel size in my luggage. It’s super hydrating, and  it adds a nice sheen to my legs (looks great with a light tan!) but doesn’t feel sticky. I love to try the limited edition versions when they come out, the shimmering version is a favorite of mine to use on a pool day.

I was really excited to try out the new Vanilla Dream scent, which comes in a jumbo size! I’m expecting this to last a decent portion of the summer. Vanilla Dream has notes of coconut and sugar in addition to the vanilla. This isn’t an intuitive mix of scents to me, but it really is the perfect blend for summer! It is fun and tropical, but the light vanilla in the mix keeps it from being too coconut. I want to wear this all summer long next to my pool, while drinking a super icy glass of lemonade.
