Fall Beauty Update with Sephora

Sephora Fall 2019 Picks

Over the last few months I’ve been slowly making a lot of changes to my every day beauty routine. My product changes are mostly prompted the “change” in the weather for fall (though I admit we’re on 2nd summer in Michigan), and just my own constant need for change.

Today, I wanted to share some of my favorites! All of these are from Sephora, which for pretty obvious reasons is one of my favorite beauty destinations! I’ve been a Rouge there for years, it’s the upper tier of the Sephora Beauty Insider Program. The program is free, and you’ll get perks like free makeovers, a birthday gift and access to their discounts and promotions. Some of today’s picks I bought during the Summer Bonus Event where I received 20% off, which I love for trying new products and stocking up on my favorites.

Fall Glowy Skin Products

Hydrated, Glowy Skin

Even when I’ve been consistent with my moisturizers and hydrating masks, by the end of the summer my skin is ready for even more pampering! This year I found 2 products that really step up my game.

Tatcha The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream

I have been obsessing over the Tatcha Silk Canvas Primer recently. It’s my secret to smooth, younger that I actually am skin. So when this new eye cream came out I knew that I had to try it out!

The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream is pretty thick, almost a balm. It melts immediately into my fingers, becoming a lightweight and creamy lotion. It sinks into my skin almost immediately, but I’ve noticed it is best if I give it about 5-10 minutes to work. I’ve been applying it right after I wash my face. Then I brush my teeth, change my clothes and do my hair. That seems to be just the right amount of time for my under eye area to look smoother and perfectly prepped for makeup. I’ve noticed the biggest difference in the middle of the afternoon. My concealer looks much better hours later, less creasing and it doesn’t melt away.

REN Evercalm™ Overnight Recovery Balm

You know those days that your skin isn’t quite its normal self, a little dry and maybe even peeling a bit? In my case, this is because I’ve been swimming almost every day, trying to enjoy the last few days of warm weather. This balm fixes all of those problems! It looks like it should be greasy and heavy on your skin, but it is not. It melts and feels super hydrating on your skin. It’s like a thick face oil almost when you apply to your skin, it kind of coats your skin without feeling gross. I wait about 10-20 minutes before laying down, by then it’s all absorbed into my skin.

In the morning, my skin looks amazing. I’m hydrated and glowy, it even fixes any peeling for me! It’s a must have for fall.

Best Sephora Mascara

Tarte Winter Wonderglam Palette

Updated Eyes

Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Liner

This liquid liner from Anastasia is super easy to use, it’s my newest go-to for liquid liner. I like that the tip is super skinny, it’s easy to just lay it against the base of my lashes and swipe for a quick line. It doesn’t smudge all day and is easy to remove at night.

It Cosmetics Lash Blowout Mascara

It Cosmetics sent me this mascara when they released it over the summer, and after just a few days it was my new favorite. It grabs every lash, holds curl and adds a ton of length and volume to my lashes! I do need to be careful with my glasses when I have this mascara on, my lashes have been smudging the inside of the lenses! During the recent VIB event, I stocked up and bought 3 more tubes of this mascara. I’m not joking.

Tarte Winter Wonderglam Luxe Eye Palette

I used to go crazy every fall and buy every holiday eye shadow palette that was released. I’m a bit more selective now, especially since I noticed there was really only 1 brand that I would use their palette consistently, and that was the yearly Tarte palette! The shadows consistently have been high quality and I love that they always include a huge range of colors.

This year’s Winter Wonderglam Luxe Eye Palette is one of my favorites. I’ve mostly been using the lighter, shimmery shades for quick looks. My 4 year old is fascinated with Party Time, a glittery purple. I’ve promised her I’ll wear it soon!

Fall 2019 Lips

Fall Lips

I know I’m not the only one that wants to completely revamp their lip wardrobe every fall! I’ve been on a major lippie buying spree recently, trying to include both dramatic lip shades and more natural every day colors. I have the Sephora Favorites Give Me More Lip set in my cart online, and this year’s set is evenly split between treatment products and colors. It even has a full sized Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Very Victoria, a shade I already have had my eye on.

These are the 3 shades I’ve been mostly using this fall. Note in the swatches above that all 3 are a little translucent, and then the colors build with layers. I think this makes them a little easier to apply, it’s harder to notice any mistakes!

fall lips

1. Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupté Shine Oil-In-Stick Lipstick in 44 Nude Lavalliere

In person, the YSL is a bit pinker and has a glossier finish

2. Charlotte Tilbury Superstar Lips Lipstick in Pillow Talk

3. Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick 2 in Amazing Amal

Olaplex Hair Oil

Smoother Hair

Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil

Finally, I’ve been craving sleeker, more ladylike hair this fall. My secret weapon is definitely this hair oil! It’s really easy to use, just shake a few drops into the palm of your hand and smooth it over your hair. It’s hard to overdo it, and it makes a huge difference!

Before and after the Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil. My volume is still there, but my hair is less frizzy and much shinier.

I love all your posts. Is olaplex shampoo, conditioner and oil safe while breastfeeding? Thanks in advance 🙂

You don’t need to worry at all about the oil and conditioner, they only touch your hair and that can’t absorb anything. The shampoo is pregnancy and nursing safe
