Pregnancy Safe Products from Clearstem

pregnancy safe products from clearstem

Pregnancy safe beauty products can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products.

Here you’ll find pregnancy safe products from Clearstem as of 9/3/2024. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.

Reminder, you don’t need to screen powder products. I also do not screen supplements.

Yes, I still answer questions about product safety! You must follow these guidelines. Any rude comments or those not following the guidelines will be removed. This means full product brand & name, full ingredient list, and each product must either be on the proper brand page or the brand list page. I won't accept comments in the wrong spot.

You can check the pregnancy beauty FAQ for many answers. Also check out which makeup and hair products I think you should worry about. Additional info about: perfume, nail polish and sunless tanners

So I don’t have to worry about rosemary? Google scared me out of it so the shampoo and conditioner have just been sitting in my shower

No. You can still eat it and that’s a way bigger exposure than topical. You can pretty much find info out there about avoiding everything possible, much of which isn’t based on much. It’s not considered an ingredient to avoid by the medical community. My list of ingredients that I screen out is very conservative and it’s here: skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy

Hi! CLEARSTEM states they specifically use plant stem cells and they have updated some of their formulas in the past few months. They say their formulas are generally safe for pregnancy so I’m curious why plant stem cells aren’t okay to you and why you also say no to mandelic acid? My OB has said they’re both fine to use, I’ve used CLEARSTEM my whole pregnancy so seeing your ratings for them has made me really nervous now!

The first 3 products are already included in the lists above with my thoughts on their formula and problem ingredients next to them. I would avoid the Hydraberry while nursing due to the hemp/cannabis, but willowbark itself is fine while nursing.
Brightmeup Toner isn’t included in my list (It’s likely a more recent release), that one has Salicylic acid and willow bark to avoid in pregnancy but it is ok for nursing.
