I use mainly bare minerals , Charlotte Tilbury(mascara, powders,brow gel,feline flick eye liner,tinted moisturiser,lip stick) , Redken hair products(All soft,anti snap), Moroccan oil. I canât seem to find anything about them and whether or not they are pregnancy safe . Ever reviewed these products ?

I read that you say not to use the Morocco hydrating shampoo during pregnancy. Could elaborate? Ive used it once im 23 weeks pregnant. Do you suggest i stop and switch to another range?

It’s pregnancy safe, but I have real doubts it would clear up KP. Much more likely to be helpful with some slightly dry skin, but it’s mostly silicones. But it won’t hurt anything!

It’s fine, but remember it’s a mask, very similar to a conditioner. You shouldn’t be applying next to your scalp, it will weigh your hair down. And since it’s not next to your scalp, you don’t need to worry about it.
I’m sorry doctor I’m a bit confused, as you know the mask will obviously get in contact with my scalp since my hair is super dry and don’t get me started on my roots hehehehe, not gonna lie to you Doctor but i do apply the mask from root to the end of my hair, is that a problem? It’s not usually recommended to apply hair masks from the roots, it’s usually similar to conditioner, which is apply mid-shaft and down. Application to the roots typically weighs the hair down due to ingredients left on the hair, unless the product is formulated to be used this way (many are not, check the directions). There are other hydrating products that might help more without weighing down the hair, such as Darshana.

My main concern actually is on the chemical formula of the mask, if let’s say some product stays on my hair or gets absorbed by the scalp, would that be a cause of concern for pregnancy or is it safe overall if ever let’s say some ingredients get absorbed into my body. Yes, and I responded that the formulation of this product is fine for pregnancy and nursing. However, most people do NOT apply near their scalp. The product is not meant to be used that way.
However, many people still ask me to screen products that have no way of being absorbed into their body (because your hair can’t absorb anything) because they are in that panic mode. I’m saying that if you’re not using the product on your scalp you don’t need to worry about it. And if you’re finding a lot of this to be highly anxiety provoking, I would discuss with your physician. Postpartum anxiety is very common, but it doesn’t only need to start postpartum, it also starts while you’re still pregnant. And I see that in my readers who continually insist on having me spend a lot of time screening products that can’t be absorbed, such as mascaras or hair products that don’t come anywhere near the scalp.

Hi you mention morrocan oil moisture repair is ok but it contains phenoxyethanol.
You can pretty much find info out there about avoiding everything possible, much of which isn’t based on much. It’s not considered an ingredient to avoid by the medical community. My list of ingredients that I screen out is very conservative and it’s here: skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy
