Pregnancy safe beauty products can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products. The list has gotten so large that I’ve decided to start listing brands in their own individual posts.
Here you’ll find pregnancy safe products from Purito as of 4/11/2020. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. If they release a new product that is not listed here, please comment below and I will add it. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.
Please refer to my post on pregnancy safe makeup, where I explain why you don’t need to worry about your mascara, powders, eyeliners, etc.
How to Request a Product Review
I try to review all of the products that I can when I publish a list. Note, I am in the US and I only have access to US products. Please don’t be rude if I skipped your favorite cleanser, when items are out of stock sometimes they aren’t on the brand’s site, or maybe you are in Asia and I am in the US.
I reserve the comments on each post for reviews of product from that brand, this makes it easier for others to find products later. Please only ask about Purito on this post, I will delete other product questions. You can find other brands here. If your brand is not included, please ask on the brand list post.

Hello, I’ve got a question about a Korean product not mentioned on your site. Is this toner pregnancy safe?
I’m From, Rice Toner
Oryza Sativa (Rice) Extract (77.78%), Methylpropanediol, Triethylhexanoin, Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin), Niacinamide, Pentylene Glycol, Portulaca Oleracea (Green Purslane) Extract, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Extract, Ulmus Davidiana Root Extract, Amaranthus Caudatus (Love Lies Bleeding) Seed Extract, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Water, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate, Butylene Glycol, Adenosine, Cellulose Gum, Ethylhexylglycerin, 1,2-Hexanediol
This looks fine
Hello, are the ingredients: Carbomer, DMDM Hydantoin and Panthenol unsafe to use in hair gel when pregnant?
Those ingredients are ok. Hair gel also just goes on your hair, not your scalp. Since your hair can’t absorb anything you don’t need to worry about it, just wash your hands right afterwards.
I was wondering about the Hydropeptide Skincare line..
Do I need to list all the products and ingredients for each one for you?
The brand is on my list to do already
Please advise Centella Unscented Recovery cream, safe for pregnancy or not?
I have currently reviewed all products in this brand that I can. I need a full ingredient list to review your product, more info here:

Hi,
I noticed on Purito’s website that the following products do not have ‘Licorice Root’ like you mentioned here. can you please check again and update here?
1. Centella Unscented Serum
2. Galacto Niacin 97 Power Essence
3. Snail Repair Advanced Serum
Also why are chemical sunscreens not safe during pregnancy? Some companies say they are safe.
Actually, they do have them.
1) Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate
2) Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate
3) I can’t view that page any longer as it has been removed from the US viewable version.
Info on chemical sunscreens and the association with Hirschsprung’s Disease here: skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy. Also info here on why I sometimes disagree with brands: pregnancy beauty FAQ
I’m confused about the purito cantella unscented sunscreen, I actually just tossed mine because I thought it was unsafe for breastfeeding because it’s a chemical sunscreen, but here you say it’s safe? Is it because there’s a different kind of filter than the normal chemical sunscreens?
No, because chemical sunscreens are fine for nursing, but not pregnancy.
Hello doctor thank you for reviewing all the ingredients for us.

Hi Dr.
I have been accidently using the Purito Unscented Sunscreen for the past couple of months. I am worried now as I am 2 months pregnant and did not know that I shouldn’t have used it. Which ingredient in the sunscreen is harmful to the baby?
Thanks.
I haven’t seen the full ingredient list for that one, just someone here said it has chemical sunscreens, which should be avoided in pregnancy
