Pregnancy safe beauty products can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products.
Here you’ll find pregnancy safe products from Kevin Murphy as of 7/2/2023. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.
Note, I have reviewed the US and EU/International versions. Unless I specify otherwise, each product referred to is BOTH. So, Angel.Rinse is safe for pregnancy and nursing in both the US and EU versions. HAIR.RESORT is safe in the US version, but the EU/International version has a chemical sunscreen, so that’s denoted in the lists. Hi. I have a question about the Hydrate Me Wash – I bought this yesterday (and used it once) after seeing on the Kevin Murphy website that all of their products are safe for pregnancy. However, after discovering your list I realized that it has retinyl palmitate and am now freaking out that I have used it! Obviously I won’t use it again but is retinyl palmitate extremely harmful with one use? I’m 6 weeks pregnant and actively avoid everything unsafe, so needless to say I’m v worried that I have used it. Your site is so helpful. Thank you so much 🙂
Retinoids are the #1 thing to avoid in pregnancy.

Should I be concerned if my hair dresser used the Angel Wash on me? I know the Angel Rinse is okay, but I just saw that the Rinse has acid in it. Since I’m sensitive to smell, she was trying to use a more subtle scent. This was my first haircut since I’ve been pregnant and routinely use Eufora or Seen shampoon at home which are considered safe by you. I’ve been trying to keep my product use simple and now I’m worried that I could have hurt the baby.
