Why is Gluconolactone not safe for pregnancy? I can’t find any info on it online.
It’s a polyhydroxy acid that works like alpha hydroxy acids and it is really well absorbed. There are a lot of different PHAs, but gluconolactone is the most common and the best absorbed.
My concerns are in this post: skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy.
