Pregnancy safe beauty products can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products. The list has gotten so large that I’ve decided to start listing brands in their own individual posts.
Here you’ll find pregnancy safe products from Goldfaden MD as of 9/25/2021. If it is not safe, I’ll tell you why. All of the products meet my pregnancy safe criteria. If they release a new product that is not listed here, please comment below and I will add it. Note I will link to every product directly to avoid confusion. You’ll know exactly which product I mean.
Don’t See Your Product? Read This Before You Ask About It…
Please read the Pregnancy Beauty Guide intro first, where you will learn which products you actually need to worry about (spoiler alert, you don’t need to worry about all makeup or hair products). I will not review products that fall into the “don’t worry about it” categories. If you want to ask about a specific product, I require that you follow these guidelines for asking about pregnancy/nursing safety. You can also learn more about how to use these pregnancy safety lists. I will delete questions that don’t follow the guidelines or are rude.

Hi!
So bakuchiol is not safe while nursing correct? I have been reading it is safe but came to your site to
Know for sure. I trust you! Haha!
It’s kind of an odd thing. I wrote about it in my post here: skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy
We don’t really have info about if it is safe. But saying it’s the same and works the same as a retinoid, which isn’t safe and we’re starting more and more to avoid in nursing (to the point that I moved retinoids down to my “avoid in pregnancy and nursing” category a few years ago) just doesn’t make sense to me. So, I don’t think we can say it’s fine.
Thank you! That makes so much sense!
Hello,
Is the Radiance Repair serum safe to use?
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Water, Glycerin, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil, Adansonia Digitata (Baobab) Oil, Propanediol Dicaprylate / Caprate, Sucrose Laurate, Leontopodium Alpinum (Edelweiss) Callus Culture Extract, Linum Usitatissimum (Linseed) Seed Oil, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Seed Oil, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Sodium Levulinate, Bakuchiol, Sodium Anisate, Xanthan Gum, Rosa Canina (Rose Hip) Seed Extract, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride
Thank you
Avoid in pregnancy and nursing due to the bakuchiol. This might also have stem cells (the edelweiss is written more like a stem cell than a regular extract), but it doesn’t matter as the bakuchiol is there
