    Hello!

I was wondering if it is really safe to use honey infused products while breastfeeding? I know infants are not supposed to eat honey before age 1 and am wondering if I should then not use the Gisou hair oil for example since my baby often touches my hair .

It’s fine. The problem with honey is the botulism spores that could be in it. Having it be in a hair product is very different than ingesting the honey. The spores are also found in soil for example, so there’s always a risk of exposure, but the processing of the hair product means it should be ok. But if you’re going to be worried, I would just avoid it. A shampoo isn’t worth it!
