Pregnancy safe beauty products can be super difficult and confusing. I have an entire guide devoted to what products are safe to use while pregnant including information on what ingredients to avoid while pregnant and a huge list of pregnancy safe skincare products.

I’m happy to have found your website, I am trying to get pregnant and would like to use some Pai Skincare products. My plan is to use them before getting pregnant to prep the skin. They contain rosemary extract, and I am hesitant to use these products as I’ve heard that rosemary extract cannot be used when trying to conceived, is this true? These are fine. You don’t need to worry about rosemary. If it was really a problem, we’d tell you not to eat it, which is a much bigger exposure than you’d be able to get topically.

Hi there! Thanks so much for this information. I wondered about this product as well as I’ve heard that black cumin seed oil is to be avoided during pregnancy. I gather this only applies to ingesting it via supplements and isn’t of concern when used topically?

Wow, they really did! I just redid the whole list. They don’t sell your sunscreen here in the US, so the ingredients aren’t on their website, so I just reviewed that too.

I wonder if the formula in the Pai Rosehip Bioregenerate oil has been changed after your assessment. The reason I wonder is because the description says it contains trans-retinoic acid. Is this an ingredient to be avoided?
