The Perfect Nude Shadow Palette For The Pale Girls: BareMinerals The Nature of Nudes

Bare Minerals Nudes Review and Swatches

I’m a big sucker for an eye shadow palette, especially if that palette is neutral! I bought this shadow palette from my local ULTA about 3 weeks ago and have really loved it! I find that the shimmery shadows are perfect for my pale skin, they don’t wash me out but also don’t look chalky on my skin.

You can read on to see why I love it so much, but be warned… this Summer 2016 release is already hard to find! It’s barely June, and I can no longer find it on the ULTA website, and it seems to only be on the BareMinerals UK Site. If you see one at your local ULTA, be sure to snag it!

Can you see why I love this palette so much? There are a lot of different neutral shades included, but especially a great selection in that paler range. Which is what I’ve really been craving lately. I do not know why…. but yes, I want a cleaner eye look with my usual helping of what is probably too much liner smudged onto my upper lash line.

You can see in this swatch picture, the shades come across as a bit more golden once they are applied. There’s a nice mix of finishes in the palette, there are matte, satin and some light shimmery glitters in there. All of the shadows are the typical amazing BareMinerals formula which is a bit creamy for a powder shadow, well pigmented and they blend really well.

This is what my typical eye look has looked like when using this palette. Note it photographed as looking not as well blended as it was in person. Which I find a little strange, but… what can you do?

To get this look, I used:
NYX Eyeshadow Base
Chanel La Palette Sourcils Brow Powder Duo
Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara
Charlotte Tilbury The Classic Eye Powder Pencil in Audrey
(My Lippie is Tory Burch Ramble on Rose, which is no longer available)

I started the look with a prepped eye area. That meant a light layer of the Eyeshadow Base, and my brows were already filled in so the sparse areas weren’t… well, sparse. I applied #10 all over my lid up to the brow bone as a base. #6 went on to my mobile lid, and then I mixed #2 and #8 and put that on my brow bone as a highlight. I applied #12 into my crease. I think applied a light layer of the Eye Pencil into the bases of my lashes on the top and lower lid. I smudged it using a smudge brush, which I had dipped into #12 and #13. After curling my lashes like crazy, I applied 2 layers of mascara.
