Burt's Bees BB Cream Review and Swatches

I've been getting a lot of requests lately for my recommendations for a lower priced complete makeup kit. I've done a few of those in the past, and I'll post a few in the next few weeks, but I thought it made sense to actually post a full review of one of the products that I know will be featured in those kits, and that I seem to be recommending a lot lately. Yes, it's a drugstore BB cream that works just as well as my favorite luxe BB creams. It's one of those that has just the right amount of coverage and I can blend it easily, it only takes a few seconds to apply so it is perfect for when I'm in a hurry. And it is from Burt's Bees!

Read on to learn more about this BB Cream and why I love it so much.

The Burt's Bees BB Cream is perfect for summer. I've found myself reaching for it a lot as the weather has turned warmer, and I know it's one that I'll be using all summer long! It is lightweight and has just enough hydration for my combination skin.

The formulation has SPF 15 with full UV spectrum coverage. I love that the sunscreen ingredients are physical blockers, which makes them less irritating to the skin than chemical sunscreens.

This BB Cream comes in 3 shades, Light (my match), Light/Medium and Medium. The light is exactly my skin tone, which means it is super easy to use when I'm in a rush!

I usually apply the BB Cream right after I get out of the shower in the morning. I smear a bit around (about the size of a blueberry), and let it absorb into my skin while I am drying and styling my hair. Once the moisturizer has absorbed, I do need to do a little bit of blending, but usually just a few pats with a BeautyBlender sponge around my nose is all that I need. And, let's be honest, I could probably avoid that blending if I took a bit more care in my initial application.

If I need added coverage, I can add a 2nd layer of BB Cream to any areas that need a bit of coverage. I just put a little on the back of my hand and pat it on to the problem area (usually under my eyes) using a fingertip. I've found that 2 light layers of BB Cream takes the place of concealer under my eyes, my circles are covered up and the coverage lasts all day without disappearing or settling into any fine lines.

This BB Cream looks natural and perfect for the rest of the day! Since the application is so easy and fast, it is perfect for days that I'm rushing and don't have much time.
