In reply to Christine. I’m confirming HC’s comment that the Fresh Skin Apricot Face Scrub is NOT safe for pregnancy because it has benzyl salicylate. I bought the scrub thinking it was safe and later looked more closely at the ingredient list on the back. Benzyl salicylate is the fourth to last ingredient listed even though it’s not on their website. At the bottom of the St. Ives website they say, “*Please reference product packaging for the latest ingredient list” below their advertised list of ingredients.

Neither are considered an ingredient to avoid topically by the medical community. My list of ingredients that I screen out is very conservative and it's here: skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy
