I’m sorry for the confusion. I sincerely appreciate all the work you put into this page! I reached out to their customer service again today since their response seemed inconsistent, and the person I spoke to said that they just realized that licorice root was missing from the ingredients list. They are in touch with Ulta about updating their website and the Indie Lee website has been updated (so I’m told). Current product boxes are considered a misprint as licorice root is missing from the ingredients list and will be corrected on the next product run. A disappointing error on their end, I was hoping to try the cream!

It’s weird, it’s not listed under the “key ingredients” link but it’s now listed under ingredients towards the bottom of the page.
Water (Aqua), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Propanediol, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, C15-19 Alkane, Cetearyl Alcohol, Squalane (Olive), Mangifera Indica (Mango) Seed Butter, Glycerin, Cetearyl Olivate, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Sorbitan Olivate, Glyceryl Undecylenate, Silica, Cetearyl Glucoside, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, Fragaria Vesca (Strawberry) Leaf Extract, Xylitol, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Xylitylglucoside, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Anhydroxylitol, Xanthan Gum, Tocopherol, Pentylene Glycol, Phenethyl Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Citric Acid.

On Ulta’s website, it’s not listed but they advertise it as containing licorice root in the description, which is what caught my attention. It’s very confusing though because I purchased the product and it’s not listed on the box as an ingredient. Something doesn’t seem right on their end!

Per the brand today, this is the full ingredient list. I don’t see it on there.

squalane (olive)
euphorbia cerifera (candelilla) wax
mangifera indica (mango) seed butter
cetearyl olivate
glycerin
cetearyl glucoside

centella asiatica leaf extract
fragaria ananassa (strawberry) leaf extract

This is the list per ULTA, also without licorice root.

Thank you! I also wanted to point out, I saw on Ulta’s website that the brightening cream was advertised as having licorice root in it, but it wasn’t listed in the ingredients list on Ulta or Indie Lee’s website. I reached out to Indie Lee customer service and they confirmed that it is made with licorice root and they’ve updated the ingredients list accordingly. I checked the Indie Lee website and licorice root is listed as an ingredient now.
