I basically don’t trust anything I see on TikTok. You can pretty much find info out there about avoiding everything possible, much of which isn’t based on much. It’s not considered an ingredient to avoid by the medical community. My list of ingredients that I screen out is very conservative and it’s here: skincare ingredients to avoid during pregnancy

I recently saw a TikTok video bashing sodium benzoate which is found in many beauty products including Drybars – I am wondering your thoughts are on that ingredient during pregnancy? I am seeing conflicting things online on whether it’s safe or not. Thank you!

But I think that we don’t really have any info at all about safety, and that includes both one time or longer use. I think it’s up to you what you want to risk.

This is a more general question and I totally understand if you are unable to answer. What would your thoughts be on getting occasional blowouts at the Drybar salon? While it is possible that they may use “unsafe for pregnancy” shampoo during the service, would this be a significant concern as it would old be isolated rather than daily use? Looking at your list, it seems like it may be difficult to get a blowout there using only products in the pregnancy safe category. Thank you so much!!!

Ok for nursing but not pregnancy due to tartaric acid. But remember you shouldn’t be applying this to your scalp, so it doesn’t matter.
Also, the Color Wow product works better for me (I have both)
