Anyways, I decided to do a slightly more intense and darker version of one of my every day eye looks.
Next I finished the eye look. A little Anastasia Perfect Brow Pencil and I'm ready for my lashes. I curled them and then layered MAC Plush Lash and CoverGirl Clump Crusher.
Finally, the last touch is lips! A light layer of Passion Fruit Cheek and Lip Stain and then Stila gloss in Grapefruit.

Inside my box I found a Juicy Couture perfume sample (which I'll review if I ever have a non-stuffy nose), Miracle Skin Transformer Hydroactive Microderm Cleanser (yes, a scrub), One Love Organics Aromatic Body Serum, Oscar Blandi Pronto Invisible Volumizing Dry Shampoo (some gross chocolate thing that I'm purposefully ignoring because I was slightly traumatized) and this:
I haven't tried the Miracle Skin Transformer scrub yet since I'm still using my glycolic pads from Meaningful Beauty. The One Love Organics Body Serum doesn't seem to have a smell? Is this just me? I thought Aromatic meant smell... The Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo is really amazing though! This is a nice travel size, it doesn't turn white and it does a great job of adding volume and mattifying my hair.
Birchbox is $10 a month for women ($20 for men), and you can give a 12 month subscription for $110, 6 months for $60 or 3 months for $30.

So, I fully admit that I have has this box for about a month, and I'm not even really sure what month it was. December? Some holiday box? This is exactly why I don't do those sample box opening posts that so many bloggers post.
Anyways, if you have a beauty lover in your life, then a beauty subscription box is a fun present. You can usually buy a small subscription, and it's like the best "of the month" club ever. Because it doesn't come with fruitcake or already wilted flowers.
Let's take a quick peak at a few of the items inside my box.
This is a Glossybox exclusive blush from Kryolan. This is a mostly pro line, and other than online I honestly have no idea where to buy it. I have a Kryolan lipgloss from a previous glossy box, and it was fine, but not amazing. This blush is pretty nice though. It is nicely pigmented and has a nice dusty rose color.
This liner is a pretty rich brown. I swatched it here, but I'm so disgusted with their holiday ad that I just threw it in my giveaway box for friends rather than actually using it.
My box also contained a set of Incoco for a manicure. I'm really not so good with the nail stickers (yes, I know this is a vicious cycle. I'll never get good at them if I don't use them, but I'm not good at them so I don't use them...) In actuality, they aren't terribly hard, and it is nice that you only file them and you have a dry manicure. They last about 5-7 days for me, depending on what I'm up to during that time period. They have a lot more color (and nail art) options now.
My box also contains a vial of Arganics Argan Oil by NuMe (and a $100 to use on their website), as well as Skin&Co Roma Truffle Serum for Day. I was afraid to open that one since I'm pretty allergic to mushrooms when I eat them, so I won't even let them touch my skin.
Overall, this was quite a bit of stuff in 1 box. Even the pink box itself is really nice, I actually use them as drawer organizers because they are so petty and well made.
You can gift 3 months of Glossybox for $60 or 6 months for $115.

Grape Glitter Lip Gloss
Pink Violet Lip Gloss
Pink Mist Shimmer Lip Gloss
Bonus feature: Fresh breath! These are flavored with a little hint of mint!
I'm not sure that I've previously mentioned Make Up For Ever's eye liners on here, other than using them in quite a few looks. When I was sent a set for review, I fully admit that I may have squealed gleefully, run to take pics and then put them in their own little organizer shrine on my vanity. (True.)
The Ultimate Liner Set is out now, and if you're an eye liner lover like me, you really should run out and grab one. While it seems pricy at $160, it really is a steal because the liners are valued at $277! These aren't crazy colors either, they include the basics that everyone needs, a few fun colors to expand your horizons (that emerald green that Pantone is pushing right now is in there too), and the formulas are ahmaazing.
The kit includes a nice sharpener too, but obviously I've swatched the liners here and have some details on the formulas.
1K: Deep Black
4K: Deep Green (you need this for the spring!)
9K: Matte Warm Brown
0L: Mat Black, black
2L: Pearly Brown, golden brown sheen
3L: Iridescent Navy Blue, navy blue sheen
5L: Bronze Green, golden olive sheen
11L: Purple, metallic purple

Once you have the liner on, it really is beautiful. The shades are deep and rich. The shimmer does show up on your lash line. And it lasts for forever.

7: Diamond Black Purple, deep violet sheen
13: Mat Black, matte black
15: Iridescent Anthracite, gunmetal gray
Make Up For Ever

The first step is to apply a primer to the face and eye lids, followed by a foundation (I used a matte liquid) and concealer, where needed. Apply a shimmering mauve cream blush across your cheekbones, then using a large powder brush, set your makeup with a loose or pressed powder.
To contour your cheekbones, sweep an angled brush under the cheekbone from the ear toward the mouth, using a matte powder 2 shades darker than your skin tone (I used a matte eyeshadow, #1). Then apply a powder blush in a warm rose tone from the ear running along the top of the cheekbone to the apples of the cheeks.
Next fill in brows and curl lashes. For eyeshadows, I used the limited edition compact from Flirt! (#2) but Urban Decay’s Naked 2 palette has similar colors in golds and browns. For this look I used the colors in the compact as such:
Gold Envy (highlight & inner tear duct)
Golden Lady (crease)
Solid Gold (lid & bottom lash)
Cocoa Luster (outer 2/3 of eye & bottom lash)
After eyeshadow application is complete, line the top lash line with a gel eyeliner (#3). Apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes (#4). Then apply individual lashes to the top lash line (#5). I used one short and two medium on each eye and then applied mascara to coat and blend in the false lashes.
The last steps are to line and fill in your lips with a neutral lip liner and apply a matte red lipstick with a lip brush, I used Revlon’s In the Red 007 (#6).
Not feeling the red lips and want a smokey eye instead? To change the look from a dark lip to a shimmering smokey eye, do not apply lip liner and red lipstick. Apply eyeshadows the same as above, but line eyes with kohl black eyeliner on top and bottom, including inner rim. Apply a champagne colored gloss to lips and you are ready to go!
