One of my big obsessions is eye makeup remover. My favorite is definitely Lancome's Bi-Facil, which seems to be able to remove any mascara in just a few swipes. But, I don't like that it is so expensive, and that I'm forced to deal with a SA that is trying to sell me eye shadow and a gloss to go with it. Sometimes I want to chat and play with colors, but sometimes I just want to buy my eye makeup remover and get out of there. So, I'm perpetually on the hunt for another remover that works just as well, but costs less and is something I can pick up next time I also need to buy kleenex. So, available at Target is great.

I can be a lazy, lazy girl. I'm sure that everyone is like this, but I'm just willing to admit it on the internet. I sometimes don't want to wash my face before I go to bed. And if I don't feel like it then I likely just won't do it. But, my skin definitely suffers around those times, so I try not to do it to often. So, in the interest of getting makeup off of my face easily and quickly (and therefore allowing me to stumble into bed in 30 seconds rather than 3 minutes), I started stocking my bathroom with makeup wipes. Mind you, these are products that I only use about once a week, but over time I've noticed that they are definitely not all created equal. Hence, I'm going to start gradually reviewing these as well.

Amazing but true. Mere days after the last contest ended, I am hosting another! This contest is being sponsored by Clean and Clear, which is helpful as they want to give away a few products that I've been testing out myself and have been meaning to write about! So, enter the contest and stay tuned in the next few days as I review 2 Clean and Clear products (finally), and use those as shameless opportunities to remind you to enter!
Why is Clean & Clear willing to sponsor a contest? In part, it is to help promote The Lake, a new on-line television show on the WB that they are sponsoring. This show has 4 new episodes published every Monday. Directed by Jason Priestly (yes, Brandon Walsh), the show follows 2 best friends as they spend their summer at a lake resort. If you like One Tree Hill or Gossip Girl, you'll probably love this show!
This prize is pretty amazing! Included in this pack is everything you need to go back to school!
• Marc Jacobs tote (I'm not 100% sure which one, the picture the PR rep sent was a Marc by Marc Jacobs Tate Tote like the image I've shown here)
• Bendel’s Girl Notebook
• Jonathan Adler Pencil Case
• CLEAN & CLEAR® Morning Burst and Makeup Dissolving products
Because this is a sponsored contest, I am not sending out the prizes myself. They'll be coming from Clean & Clear. So, don't enter if you're not OK with me giving them your address. Open only to those in the US, and if you don't answer the e-mail I send you telling you that you won within 2 or 3 days I reserve the right to pick another winner.

• A Soft In-Shower Facial & Night Moisturizer
So, there will be 2 winners! They'll be chosen at random, only readers in the US are eligible to win (sorry, I just don't want to deal with forms from customs). You have until May 5th! One entry per e-mail address.

Really, this moisturizer has a lot of moisturizers such as Glycerin (humectant), Sorbitol (humectant) and Glyceryl Stearate (Emollient). (Refer to the skin moisturizer post if you aren't sure what that means) In addition, there are alpha hydroxy acids within the fruit acid extracts included (lemon and orange) as well as the presence of the glycolic acid.

Clean and Clear's Soft Night Moisturizer
Overall I do really like this moisturizer. It has the same light scent as the other Soft products, feels creamy and sinks into my skin well. I do have some residue after application, but as this is a night product it really doesn't matter. It did eventually sink in after about 20 minutes or so. The product does feel very moisturizing and I love that it contains AHAs! It also made me look a bit "glowy."

I think that the most important thing with a cleanser is that it is gentle, cleaning your skin without stripping it of oils resulting in dryness and afterwash tightness. For me, if I feel dry within a few minutes then the cleanser is not going to stick around long!
I really like this cleanser. It has the same fresh scent as the other products and a light lather. The granules are small and evenly sized, which I love! It rinses easily and there are no problems with dryness or tightness later on.

I've tried a few products now from the new Clean & Clear Soft line, and I really have to admit that I have been very impressed with all of them!
I really enjoyed using this moisturizer. It has a light floral/citrus scent that faded quickly. The moisturizer is creamy and feels silky as you apply. It sinks in right away, leaving no residue behind! It really helped to create a great base for makeup application. It was just the right amount of moisture for both my oily T-Zone and drier cheeks! A quick glance at the sunscreen chart below shows us that it even offers broad spectrum UV coverage!
Active Ingredients (refer to the sunscreen ingredient post):Clean and Clear's Soft Day Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 15
• Avobenzone 3%
• Octisalate 5%
• Octocrylene 1.7%
• Oxybenzone 3%

I loved using this product. It is a thick, light grey creme with a bit of grit in it. It is designed to work best in the shower, with the theory that the heat and steam allow the main active ingredient, Glycolic Acid (bolded in the ingredient list, see the hydroxy acids post for more information) to sink further into the skin. A minute is really all that you need, any longer and your skin will start to tingle, reminding you to rinse. The product is meant to be scrubbed (helping to exfoliate the skin) and then rinsed away!
Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polyethylene, PPG-15 Stearyl Ether, Glycerin, Glycolic Acid, Polysorbate 60, Steareth-21, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Montmorillonite, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Xanthan Gum, DMDM Hydantoin, Fragrance, Betaine, Methylparaben, Sodium PCA, Menthol, Sorbitol, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit/Leaf Extract, Serine, Saccharum Officinanum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Glycine, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Glutamic Acid, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Alanine, Arginine, Lysine, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Threonine, Proline, Iodopropyryl Butylcarbamate, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone. May also contain: Sodium Hydroxide.
This product also contains quite a few moisturizing ingredients to help create a glowy look (italicized in the ingredients above).
Overall, I thought that this worked extremely well. It definitely smoothed my skin, creating a fresh and glowing look. It was fast and efficient, which I loved. It is even gentle enough to use a few times a week.
I think that this would be a great option for young teens, who tend to think that "more is better" especially when it comes to skin care. I know I used to try and scrub the pimples off of my face, I can't imagine what would have happened if I had a product like Neutrogena's Wave to go after my face with! The In-Shower Facial is just the right amount of exfoliation with each use, so it would be a bit hard for a teen to go too overboard.
One quick word of caution- as with any hydroxy acid product, your skin will be more sensitive to the sun. So, be sure to use a sunscreen when using this product!
