Pregnancy Safe Foundation Primers

List of pregnancy safe makeup primers

I’ve written a lot about skin care products that are safe to use during pregnancy, but not much about other beauty products that are safe to use while pregnant. The product I get asked the most about (after skincare) is definitely pregnancy safe makeup, especially face primers you can use while pregnant.

I’ve resisted writing a post listing pregnancy safe makeup foundation primers, mostly because it is sometimes really hard to find a full list of ingredients for makeup! Companies don’t typically list their full ingredient lists for makeup online like they do for skincare products. After some digging around, I did find a lot of face primer ingredient lists! This list is not comprehensive, but if I have listed a brand, then I checked all of their face primers. Only those products that are pregnancy safe are listed below.

Do you have any mascaras or lipsticks/glosses you recommend during pregnancy?

Mascara only goes on your lashes, which can’t absorb anything. I wouldn’t worry about that at all. I haven’t looked specifically at other makeup because formulations change very quickly. Every time I try to create a post, things change very soon after.

The ingredients you have listed are fine, but note it states “Inactive ingredients”, the sunscreens are listed under “active ingredients” before that, those are usually the ones that make a BB cream one to avoid. What are the active ingredients?
