Tresemme Reverse System Shampoo and Conditioner review

Have you seen the tips on Pinterest about "correctly" washing your hair? And have you noticed that lately, a lot of those tips have recommended conditioning you hair before you wash it? It's a great idea. Add some much needed moisture to your hair, and follow it up by using shampoo. It removes excess conditioner, which weighs down your hair, but still lets your hair be moisturized.

While reverse washing sounds great in theory, it turns out that in reality it can be a bit difficult to pull off. There are many lightweight conditioners that don't hydrate quite enough to be used as a first step, and there are many shampoos that strip your hair too much to be the last step. I tried reverse washing with my regular shampoo and conditioner (a salon brand color safe option that I currently having hanging out in my shower), and the results weren't so good. My hair was frizzy and difficult to style. It was less shiny and difficult to style.

But, when done right, reverse washing really can give you amazing hair!

To make it fool proof, TRESemmé just released their Reverse Wash Hair Care System. A conditioner and shampoo that are balanced to do the reverse wash the right way. The conditioner is the first step, and it is a hydrating conditioner that makes my hair incredibly soft and shiny! The shampoo is gentle and washes away the weight the conditioner adds, but without stripping my hair. The shampoo has a very light conditioner in it, so When I style my hair afterwards, it is shiny, soft and has great volume.

  6. I just tried this product this morning and I can't believe the difference. I'm 61 and have my hair colored and highlighted--this is the first time since I left the salon that my hair was manageable and shiny. I like tresseme products and have been using them for years because I found they were a good value. I don't know how the next wash will work out, but so far I am very pleased!
