Bobbi Brown released her Telluride palette in the middle of the summer, and it is really amazing for the transition to fall! The colors are warm and cozy, but not too dark. There's just the right amount of shimmer, and I've totally fallen for it! It's limited edition, but you can still buy it at Sephora, Bobbi Brown, or Nordstrom.
You can see that while the shades look a bit rosier in the palette, once applied they are more neutral. Until I realized this, I stared at the palette (I won't let myself use it until I've taken pics) wondering if I had made a mistake in purchasing the palette. Did I really need this and my Urban Decay Naked3 Palette? Yes, Yes and Yes. Yes, indeed. I need both.
Here's a quick look at how I'm usually wearing this palette!
I start with a prepped eye area. I've primed with NYX Shadow Base and ELF Glitter Primer, which really increases the pigmentation level of the shadow once it is on my eye. Then I apply Woodrose on my mobile lid up to crease.
Next, I apply cream from crease up to brow bone. This shade is basically the same as my skin tone, but applying it makes everything look pulled together.
I roughly line my eyes with black liner (Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Precision Glide Eye Liner) on my top and bottom lash line. The line doesn't need to be perfect, just make sure it is right along the bases of the lashes. I really draw right over the base of the lashes and don't care that I'm pushing them all over the place. I then used a smudge brush to smudge the liner, here I've added a little bit of both Smokey Brown and Velvet Plum to the brush, then rubbed that along the eye liner line. It adds just the right smokey-ness and makes it look less harsh.
Once I curl my lashes and apply mascara (this is the Bobbi Brown Smokey Eyes mascara) you can see how well it pulls the entire eye look together!
Here's my full look! I'm also wearing:
Stila Color Balm lipstick in Isabelle
Bobbi Brown BB Cream
Clarins Instant Concealer
Dior Diorskin Nude Air Healthy Glow Invisible Powder
Bobbi Brown Brightening Brick in Pink as blush
MAC Brun shadow to fill my brows
