I've mentioned my pregnancy here and there on the blog, though since I can go weeks without saying anything about it, I'm sure there are readers that have missed it!
I'm currently pregnant with my 2nd daughter. Actually, I'm currently super pregnant! I'm typing this on Halloween morning, and today is my due date! I've been home for a few weeks having lots of (painful) contractions without a lot of progress, though there's a deadline for her to be here since next week I have a scheduled induction. (I had to be induced with my 3 year old, this isn't super surprising.)
Anyways, a big part of my nesting, much like when I had my daughter, has been preparing the blog for some time away. I've been writing ahead, and most weeks there will still be posts every day. On occasion there might be a skipped day here and there. But really, that isn't anything very different, I sometimes skip days when I've been busy with my "real" job or family. What will change for the next few months is how present I am here on the blog. You'll notice that I take longer to respond to emails and comments. There are more posts showcasing looks I loved from Fashion Week or rounding up favorite products from my blogging friends, rather than reviewing what I thought of a product. Those things are just easier to pull together ahead of time!
I'll still pop in every now and then, but just know that my priorities over the next few months will obviously be for the new little girl who will (hopefully) be here any moment!
My real "blogging maternity leave" content is starting today. I hope you enjoy it!
I wish I'd written this post sooner! I wrote this on 10/31, and spent most of the day sitting on my bed with mild contractions and lots of back pain. Then was definitely in labor that night, my water broke at 6 am, we were at the hospital at 7 am, I got my epidural (I was VERY excited about that!), and then somehow within 1 hour and 20 minutes I went from about 3-4 to baby out! So, now I'm home with my little Miss A. (No names, sorry! My little Miss M. has also never had her name on here, my hubby and I agreed to keep them out of the blog.) We are both doing very well and Miss M. is super excited to be a big sister!
