Weekend Shopping: What's New-ish at Sephora and ULTA

Today I thought I'd try something a little bit new, really this is inspired by shopping with my friends and family. If I enter a beauty store or makeup aisle with someone that knows about the blog, they are very interested in what I'm looking at. I swear, sometimes I can just pick up an item and they'll buy it too, not really knowing what it is! I guess knowing what someone as beauty obsessed and exposed to products as I am is pretty interesting!

So, I thought it might be fun to show you what I currently have my eye on from the "What's New" sections over at two of my favorite stores, Sephora and ULTA. (Some of these products aren't really very new, just in the last few months. But, they were in that part of the website, so I'm counting them!) Just pretend we're wandering through the store together, this is what I'd be picking up and debating over. Today we'll shop at Sephora, next week ULTA!

New products to try from Sephora

1. Yves Saint Laurent Couture Palette
This palette has been out for a while, there are quite a few color options, but I've been drooling over the purple for a while now. There are 5 purple shadows in this palette, which is a lot of purple, but I still look at it every time I'm in the store, sometimes I carry it around in my basket for a while.

2. Bite Beauty Lush Fruit Lip Gloss
I've been craving a hot pink, super pigmented gloss and this one is the exact color I've had in mind.

3. NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow
This is a new eye shadow formulation from the amazing people at NARS and I want it! It can be applied wet or dry and stays put all day. My friend Phyrra has a great NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow review and tutorial while my friend Christine at Temptalia has swatches of all the NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows.

4. Too Faced Cocoa Powder Foundation
This is Too Faced's new powder foundation, and I want it! (They sent it to me to review, but the color is too dark. I'm planning on buying it in person so I can get the right shade.) It smells like cocoa and promises a flawless, "soft focus" finish.

5. Dior Professional Finish Blush Brush
I've been using the same blush brush since my freshman year at Michigan (Yes, 1995), and it was from a Clinique GWP. I haven't found one the right shape and size to replace it! Luckily, the brush has held up pretty well over the years with great care, but it is starting to really look like it needs to be replaced. This one looks like it it the right size, I want to check it out in person before splurging on it.

6. Smashbox Telephoto 3-in-1 Face Brush
This is a dual-fiber retractable brush. Because you can retract to 3 positions, the brush changes a bit in how it applies makeup. This is perfect for travel! I definitely want to check it out.

7. Dior Addict Fluid Stick
I bought this in a light pink and it seems pretty great, but I want to pick up a bolder color before I review it on the blog.

8. Smashbox Master Class Palette III – Color & Contour
This is a huge limited edition palette. It has 32 eyeshadows, 3 blushes, and 3 contouring powders. It looks like it has pretty much every color product you would need, I really want to see it!

What do you have your eye on at Sephora?
