Too Faced Perfect Eyes Eyeliner Review

It's hard to believe it is already February. How did that happen?? Which means that Valentine's Day is just days away. I'm not even kidding. Today, Coupons.com asked me to share my beauty true love with you, in celebration of the big day! If you need help getting ready, you can check out their Valentine's Day deals, and they are holding an amazing Valentine's Day Sweepstakes where you can share your true love story for a chance to win a dream vacation!

While I have a lot of products that I repurchase over and over and rave about, the one that I've yet to really dedicate an entire post to is my current favorite eye liner, Too Faced's Perfect Eyes Eyeliner. Too Faced sent me this liner in brown and black over the summer to try out, and you've probably noticed that I mention it in a lot of look break downs that I do. I'm constantly saying "and then apply eye liner smudged into the lash line" and mentioning the Too Faced Perfect Eye Eyeliner. Did you notice that? Unless a look is themed for a particular brand, I am always using this liner.

Why does it get mentioned so much? Because, I'm obsessed. Really, truly, obsessed. I think I've repurchased this eye liner (in both black and brown) twice already since they sent it to me in the summer. That's a lot of eye liner. Especially for a girl that owns a drawerful of other black, brown and interesting eye liner shades.

What makes this liner so perfect? Pretty much everything. The black is a deep, rich black, and the brown is dark but has depth. The formula is very pigmented, and it glides on to my lash line very easily! The pencil is hard enough that I can jam it down into my lash line (that's something I can't do if a pencil is too soft), but the formula glides on without me having to press hard. Once it is applied, I have about 30-60 seconds to smudge with a brush and then this stuff is set.

For me, this pencil won't budge. The formulation is waterproof, though note that I haven't tried swimming with it. I have cried with it, and it stays in place until I really start rubbing like crazy, then there is a bit of smudging. (But, it takes a lot of rubbing, so I still think this is pretty good.) Despite how it sticks around all day, I don't have an issue removing it at night. A decent eye makeup remover and a cotton round will remove this liner really easily.

I've only tried 2 of the 9 available colors. I keep waiting for Too Faced to release a big set of all the colors, even if they're just in travel sizes, but I might bite the bullet and just start collecting all of the shades! I'll probably grab Perfect Moss the next time I'm buying the Perfect Black and Perfect Brown shades (which is probably next week, judging by the size of my current pencils).

What's your beauty true love?

  2. I have five shades of the Perfect Eyes liners. It's an absolute favorite for the waterline and for smudging above/below my lashes. I really wish they made a nude brightening shade with this formula.

  3. Does the pencil need sharpening or is it a twist up? It's hard to tell. Tia

  8. I think I need to try this eyeliner. I have allergies and the itchy/watery eyes that go along with them. It makes finding eye makeup that stays put difficult!
