Spring Beauty Refresh

Whenever there's a change in seasons I feel the need to change up my normal beauty routine. My heavy winter moisturizer now needs to be lightened up, so I make a few makeup updates and swap out hair products to help my hair recover from the winter.

As much as I'd love to spend hours and hours shopping for new products, I don't have time for all that. I want one-stop shopping, with items that are all available at one location. I love that Walgreen's is one place that I can stop for everything I need! They're really close to my house and I drive by the store when I'm on my way home.

Nivea A Kiss of Color and Care
I always want to lighten up every spring, and that includes my lippie! I still want color, but this spring I want to have it be a bit sheer and still be able to baby my lips. There are 4 different shades of the new Nivea A Kiss of Care and Color Lip Balm, Pink, Coral, Crimson and Berry. There's an inside core of super moisturizing balm and the outside is the tinted balm. I took a quick selfie wearing the Crimson – you can see that there's definitely color but not too much! I think it is perfect!

Essie Encrusted Treasures
In the winter I tend to do short, rounded nails with dark polish. Beige, red, vampy purple... I crave all of them when it is cold out! While I usually just swap out for lighter pastels in the spring, this year I want to add in some easy nail art. I'm not very artistically talented, so I'll probably just go for something like this easy ombre shimmer over any polish. The Essie Encrusted Treasures polishes are full of texture and are already pigmented. You could do a full manicure or just an accent nail. To me, the color Hors D'ourves looks perfect for the ombre shimmer look!

Mark Hill MiracOILicious Argan Oil
I have to admit that this isn't a new product for me, I've been using this Argan Oil every day since Mark Hill and his Creative Director, Jules, chopped my hair over the summer. This oil is actually a blend of 14 different oils and extracts such as Moroccan Argan Oil, Ylang-Ylang, Bergaot and others. It is super conditioning and the consistency is a bit thicker than my other hair oils. I've found that you can use quite a bit of the oil without overdoing it.

I love to apply MiracOILicious to my hair just before blow drying, it does a great job of helping me straighten and soften my hair. I also apply a small amount at the end of styling to smooth frizzies and add shine. It instantly makes your hair look much healthier! I'm stocking up on MiracOILicious this spring and telling everyone about it!

Mark Hill's line is only available at Walgreen's. When you are buying your MiracOILicious Argan Oil, grab a tub of the matching 2 Minute Intensive Treatment as well. A quick swap out for your regular conditioner once or twice a week and your hair will be so much happier!

L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara
Every spring I seem to want lighter eyes with big, flirty lashes! This L'Oreal mascara will be perfect for that look. The brush is really different on this mascara – it is molded plastic with one section that flares out so you can grab outer lashes and really push them up. There are also very small fibers in the mascara formula to help add a lot of length.

Garnier Skin Renew 5 Second Blur
This product is just coming to the US after being available in the UK, and it is probably the one I'm most excited to try this spring! All of those blurring products on the market have sounded great to me in theory, but in practice they've all been too thick and hard to work with. This is the one I've heard raves about, and since it comes in a pump it must be thinner! You can apply this under or over your makeup to instantly blur fine lines, wrinkles and pores to look younger. I might need to buy more than one!

Ology Milk and Honey Body Lotion
Every winter I have to step up my moisturizing routine quite a bit! With the dry air, going in and out of the cold and forced air heat, my skin can get dry and itchy without an absurd amount of moisturizing, and often my eczema will flare. Once things turn a bit warmer I need to swap out for a lighter moisturizing routine. This lotion from Ology is creamy and nicely moisturizing without being too heavy. It is also cruelty free and free of chemicals like sulfates, phthalates, petrochemical derivatives and is paraben free. This one is a Walgreen's exclusive!

All of the products in this post are available at Walgreens! Which of these products are you most excited to try?
