Cargo's Vintage Escape Fall Eye Shadow Palette Swatches and Review
I'm pretty sure I promised this review would come up on Monday, so I definitely get a blogging demerit! I claim need for sleep (I may have been at that Michigan-Notre Dame game pretty late on Saturday night) and I'm working this week!

In case you missed it, when I was expecting an eye shadow, ULTA sent me pretty much everything they had! The most exciting item (from my limited experience talking to people about the 21 days items) is the Cargo Vintage Escape Fall Eye Shadow Palette. It isn't currently available on the ULTA site, but you can find it on Cargo Cosmetics website if you can't wait to get it on 9/26. Note that it is a $140 value (I believe it, there are 12 pretty large shadows in there), and it retails for $39. But on Day #19 it is a steal at $20!

Cargo ULTA Special Palette Deal

The outside of the palette is a very pretty light brown leather. (I'm not certain if it is real or not, I assume no, but it says leather on the Cargo website.) I love that the corner of the palette is embossed with the Cargo name!

Read on to see swatches of the shadows!

Swatches of Cargo's Vintage Escape Fall Eye Shadow Palette

The palette is really, really, so insanely pretty! Note that most of it is pretty warm toned. While there are some colors that work for cooler toned girls (Harvest Moon, Crisp, Cuddle and Frolic), this really is a must buy palette if you have warm tones. (This is the part where I admit that my mom was over this weekend and as soon as I opened this palette I knew it would be a better palette for her than me, so it went home with her. My skin just doesn't play well with such warm tones.)

Cargo's Vintage Escape Fall Eye Shadow Palette Swatch

Here's a look at each of the shadows in pan and swatched dry on my arm. They are a little powdery when coming out of the pan, but once on my lid I don't have issues with fall out. Cargo's eye shadows are usually very well pigmented and blend very well. Harvest Moon is a great neutral color, but you basically can't see it here because it is exactly the same color as my skin, so don't think it was a dud! I did expect a little more coverage with Black Crow, but when over a primer it performs much better. As a deep matte black it is mainly for use as a liner, and with my stiff brush it is definitely well suited for that roll.

What do you think of the colors? Will you be picking this one up on September 26th?

I'm glad I saw the swatches, they are pretty colors but are warmer than I expected. What a great buy though.

Oooh, perfect timing for fall! I'm a redhead and love these colors so much, can't wait to try them out. Thanks for sharing!

Where was this manufactured? I am guessing China because all of the companies manufacture their overly generous palates there with generic formulations. Cargo shadows are creamy not powdery so this doesn't sound like their regular line.

The packaging was in my trash on Monday, so I can't check. But, the Cargo palettes I have (2 quads) were sent to me by their PR and they're more on the powdery side, not creamy, so I didn't think this was inconsistent.

This is beautiful! I think I'll have to pick it up on the 26th. Do you know if it's limited edition?

I am a cooler/neutral toned gal, but for some reason I can wear pretty much any eye-shadow, and these colors are GORGEOUS for Fall! A MUST-BUY FOR MEEEE! :-)

Thank you so much for posting these swatches! I know this palette is the beauty steal today and it's the only thing I was interested in this month so I'm trying to determine how much I need it. :)
