Pevonia Spa Clinica: My Skype Skin Consult

Pevonia Spa Clinica
Last week I shared with you my Pevonia Spa Clinica Skin Care Regimen, which although it wasn't one I had picked, is exactly what I would have chosen for myself. As part of their services, Pevonia Spa Clinica offers a free online Skype skin consultation with an esthetician. I thought it would be really interesting to see what they would be able to tell (without laying hand on my face), and what other products would be recommended for me.

First, I should say that even though I do see an esthetician fairly regularly (I try to see mine every 3 weeks or so to have my brows done. I'm not so good at keeping my unruly eyebrows under control), that isn't something I really look forward to. I get nervous. Like Amanda (my super sweet and knowledgeable esthetician) is going to take me to task for a dry spot or something. I'll mask, use extra moisturizer, you name it. I'm really prepared for my brow shapings!

But, that isn't exactly going to be helpful for this consultation. To prepare, I took a picture of my skin sans makeup. Ok, maybe not totally sans makeup, this was right after I took my daughter to day care yesterday. I had mascara and plain lip balm on, but I had just removed all of my BB cream/concealer with my face wipes. So, nothing covering up problems on my face. Oh, and it was cloudy out and I'm in kind of bad lighting, so the color balance is a bit off. But, here's the bare face picture that I used for my consult.

I was pretty close to putting arrows on this to show you where my skin issues are, but that seemed like a bit much! This is the picture of me that I used for my consultation. You can see that I have some under eye issues and with my rosacea I do have some redness around my nose. If you look really, really carefully, you can see that I do have some hyperpigmentation on my upper cheek bones, but it's basically gone and I can cover it easily with a little makeup.

While I'm sitting here pointing out little nit-picky things about my face, I do want to point out that overall I'm really pretty happy with my skin. I had acne in high school, so I'm pretty happy with my clear skin now. My skin is overall very smooth and I think I'm pretty wrinkle free for someone that is over 35! There's room for improvement, but I'm really happy with my skin.

If you want, you can see my entire consultation on YouTube. Kendall was super helpful and had some great advice and really listened to what I had to say. I just wish I'd had a little better lighting in my kitchen (which is usually fine for Skype), but I live in Michigan and it is winter now, so it's a bit overcast.

So, the additional products recommended to me were the Under Eye Serum (which I would have picked myself if ordering) and the Visible Redness Serum. The Under Eye serum will help deal with my puffiness and soothe the area a bit. The Visible Redness Serum will complement the topical antibiotic that I'm currently using for my rosacea, and hopefully help the redness around my nose.

Do you want to try out Pevonia Spa Clinica?
Pevonia Spa Clinica is currently holding a program that lets you try the products for free for 3 weeks! You can learn more about it on the Pevonia Spa Clinica website, but basically you buy a trial sized basic regimen for $19, make sure you pick "study group offer". After 3 weeks they'll send you a 10 minute questionnaire. If you fill it out they'll refund your $19.

I'm sooo glad that I have stayed out of the sun! I'm 35 (and 1/2) and I really have no wrinkles. I'm usually mistaken for about 10 years younger in person, so I'm definitely doing something right!

You do look great, and I love that your face moves naturally. Sorry, but I don't trust a salesperson whose face doesn't move. Pretty sure they're not using just those products.
