True, you might not think that a "build your own" palette is a good present (because you probably like to pick out your own shades), but it could be a great gift to push a friend slightly outside of the box, give a friend some pretty basic shadows that she wouldn't splurge on for herself, or give it with a coupon to head out together to purchase the remaining three shades.
