Fast Beauty: Kath the Fabzilla Shows How Fast Hawaii Can Get

Never a morning person. I don’t think I’ll ever be. But like most of you, I don’t have a choice. Come 2013, my schedule will be more hectic (working 6 days, say what?!). On that note, I am prepping up to cut my beauty ritual drastically. You see I need at least an hour to prepare – 15 minutes for breakfast and 45 minutes to dress up and put on makeup. But on days that I’m running so late, I can do all that jazz in less than ten minutes. Case in point- today.

Imagine my cloud nine moment when I got an email from THE Christine of 15 Minute Beauty blog saying that I’ll be featured in her “fast beauty series”. Of course, I’ll be more than glad to share with her readers my no-fuss fab makeup.

My skincare starts with CTMP – Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize, Protect. For today’s feature, I used Jurlique Purifying Mist, The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream and MDSolarSciences mineral sunscreen tinted gel (on a side note, this feels like a face primer). I have yet to find that single product that does all (moisturize, protect and prime), it would be my holy grail for sure!

Let’s move on to makeups. I hate to constantly retouch when out and about so I rely on long-wearing products. Tarte Amazanonian Clay 12-hour foundation is one. It’s lightweight and perfect for my oily & acne-prone skin. Call it luck if I can get a decent amount of sleep. To fake a well-rested night, I used the palest shade from James Dimitri Triple Cover Conceal Wheel. Then I sealed everything with Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Peachy Bronzer for that soft sun-kissed glow.

I don’t have any signature eye look but for today, I opted for neutral. I guess when you’re in a hurry, it’s the safest choice. I started with Tarte eye primer then worked on filling my uneven brows with The Body Shop brown eyeliner. Too Faced is one of my go-to palettes. I picked the lightest shade (flesh) for my eyelid; brown for crease and lower lash line; army green for outer corner. Then I lined my waterline and upper lash line with Urban decay black eyeliner just to give my eyes more definition. Finally, I curled my lifeless lashes and applied two coats of Milani runway mascara. From drab to fab.

I don’t know what’s with e.l.f’s blush and bronze duo but every time I’m pressed for time, I reach out to it unconsciously. One thing I know, this $3- makeup never disappoint. For my lips, I used Soniak Kashuk luxury lip color (bronzey nude) which I got on sale for less than $3 from Target!

Finally, I sprayed Skindinavia finishing makeup spray onto my face. Needless to say, this has been my lifesaver for a smudge-free and intact makeup.

SKIN79 Super+ Beblesh Balm BB Cream Triple Function ( Pink Label ) does it all for me- Moisture, serum, protect and prime/light coverage! It doesn't make me break out at all, and is soothing when my skin is sensitive, I cannot recommend it enough. Plus, they have other formulations for different needs!
