You can see that this is actually a fairly large store. It has every product Kiehl's carries, and a staff that is trained on all of them in case you have any questions. I love that rather than just stuffing their products in a boring blank store, they really worked hard to infuse the space with the Kiehl's personality. See Mr. Bones in the window? And it just isn't Kiehl's without a motorcycle!
I asked Chris about his current product recommendations. Chris said that the biggest thing for early fall is recovering from the sins of the summer! We spent time outside, in the sun... and that tan that is quickly fading? "It's really just a sign of damage. You need to use products to help your skin recover. Gentle products that are very hydrating, and prevent further damage."
In particular Chris recommended the new Rosa Arctica Lightweight Cream and Rosa Arctica Eye. He loves that they are so hydrating for relatively light formulas, which you can even use in the morning. Both increase collagen and elastin production, which is great for restoring volume and fighting aging!
To help fight further sun damage, Chris recommends Super Fluid UV Defense 50+, which offers full broad spectrum coverage and is light enough to wear everyday.
Ultra Facial is a great basics line (my beloved daily am moisturizer is the Ultra Facial SPF 15), and the cleanser removes everything, offers a little hydration and is very gentle. Absolutely does not overstrip your face, cause redness or irritation.
Unless you have a face as dry as the Sahara, then you wouldn't be using Midnight Recovery everyday. For me (with my combination skin), this is a once a week or so in the winter product. I also travel with it, since the dry air of an airplane just makes me super dry and peely. I asked Chris about it, and he said "it really is great. While an oil might be intimidating, all you need is 2 drops, spread it around, and you're set."
