I have to admit that while I'm often a bit fascinated by the "best of beauty" lists you find in magazines, I'm often disappointed. The editors always seem to chose either brands that I've never heard of, or products that cost about 4x what they should. Ugh... Count me out.
Have you ever seen All You magazine? It's exclusive to Walmart (I see it at checkout all the time, amongst all of the TomCat divorce reading material), though I haven't read it before. I was recently sent a copy (more on that tomorrow) and it contains their "Best Beauty Buys". Their editors tested a huge (huge) range of products, and they've selected their favorites that are available at a decent price. (And they didn't just pick Walmart ones, they had some Sonia Kashuk in there, so you know they weren't biased that way.)
Anyways, this is a list that I'm definitely interested in! The issue doesn't come out until the 27th, but to tide you over until then I wanted to share a few of their related lists:
