Yesterday I shared with you a little about All You's Best Beauty Buys, today I'm going to share a few of their picks with you and one reader will be able to win them all!
CeraVe Renewing Lotion: CeraVe has great body lotions, many dermatologists recommend it to their patients. I've been using this lotion, and it is light with very little smell. It sinks into my skin right away and it does a good job of moisturizing. What sets it apart is the hydroxy acids in the formula. They help to gradually exfoliate your skin. If you have keratosis pilaris (those red bumps on your upper arms) this is the perfect choice for you. Warning, don't use it right after showering, it will sting a bit!
Dove Body Wash: I can't seem to find my post on this body wash right now, but it is a good one. The lather is nice, it does a great job of cleaning and doesn't over dry my skin. All good.
L'Oreal Youth Code Eye Cream
La Roche-Posay Effaclar DUO Acne Treatment: I was unsure what to think about this cream at first. It looked like a simple acne spot treatment, and the directions sound like that (apply 1-3 times a day), though I was a bit less than impressed with the active ingredient list (5.5% Benzoyl Peroxide, most spot treatments have 10%), but the bigger than usual size was a nice surprise.
I've been using this for the last 5 days (I'm out of town this week and my skin hates travel, it likes to create as many blemishes as possible). I would not want this stuff to have any more Benzoyl Peroxide. It has enough. And boy, this stuff does work! It looks like like any other spot treatment, an ivory cream that sinks in immediately and doesn't have any residue on my face. I can apply makeup over it without an issue. About 10-20 minutes later I can feel it working, there's definitely tingling in the areas that I applied. If I went a bit overboard, it does become a bit unpleasant. It took a few tries, but I did figure out how much was enough and how much was too much.
The treatment helped with my blemishes a lot, they disappeared in less than half of the normal time. However, I do have dryness in those areas now as well, so be careful to tone down your use a bit if you're having dryness. I've backed off to once a day and am definitely restricting myself to spot treatments. I estimate that this tube is going to last.... basically forever.
Simple Vital Vitamin Day Cream
Olay Total Effects Night Cream
CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara: Although I'm usually a LashBlast Fusion Mascara girl, I definitely appreciate the goodness that is LashBlast Volume Mascara as well. I'm a mascara junky (I *might* have an entire drawer of the stuff), and I still manage to use a LashBlast mascara nearly every day. I sometimes layer it with other brands, sometimes I layer different LashBlasts... you get the idea.
Almay Liquid Eyeliner Pen: I've been playing with this pen for the last few days, and I really like it! It flows on very nicely, it seems to apply steadily even when I might be a bit shakey from too much caffeine.... It also lasts all day and it easy to wash off!
Sally Hansen Moisture Twist Lip Gloss
Physician's Formula Youthful Wear Concealer
Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush: This blush is super easy to use to create the perfect flush. In the magazine they featured Fresh Pink, in my Dream Bouncy Blush Review I had Pink Plum. This shade is Candy Coral, I'll share swatch pics sometime this week.
Neutrogena Tinted Lip Balm: I've been using different Neutrogena Tinted Balms for a few years now, and I have to agree that they are pretty great. Subtle color, no flavor, nicely hydrating... Absolutely perfect to stick in your pocket.
Sonia Kashuk Perfecting Luminous Foundation
Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Eye Shadow in Comfort Zone: I haven't used any of the colors in this shadow palette yet, but watch for some swatches soon and hopefully a look or two. I am a bit nervous that some of the shades are going to be too dark for me based upon my swatching, but we'll see!
Garnier Nutrisse Nourishing Color Foam
Salon Graphix Healthy Hair Nutrition Conditioning Cleanser
Organix Repairing Awapuhi Ginger Conditioner
