This sampling box is picked from the beauty editors over at one of my favorite websites, Total Beauty (disclosure, I'm one of their blogging partners and I was once part of their ad network). The editors are former magazine turned on-line beauty editors, and they test just as many products as I do. More actually, because I only have one face. These ladies get to try out a ton of products and you know they want this to go well, so they'll be hand selecting only the best products for the sampling program.
They've gone for quality over quantity, and I was really impressed with what was in the box! Read on to see what $15 will get you!
So yes, inside that big cardboard envelope/box thing, you'll find 4 different items. I liked that they were pretty varied in this first box, hopefully this trend continues.
This is the tube mascara that a lot of people love. I know I've used it before and had good results (though I admit to finding the removal process a bit strange because you have to kind of pull off the little tubes), though I can't seem to find a review on the blog! I'll review it again. It does a good job of not clumping, adds length and volume and lasts throughout the day. I really like this size. It's not quite a full size and it isn't a sample size either. This in between is perfect for travel!
Alterna Bamboo Luminous Shine Mist
I've heard great things about this product but haven't tried it before. This is a very lightweight mist that you simply spray over your hair, smooth a little with your hands and voila! Amazing shine that doesn't look greasy. It has a light scent (a little herbal?) but I can't smell it a few minutes after application. It just helps my hair look healthier.
June Jacobs Green Tea and Cucumber Body Balm
This is a 1.6 ounce tube of body lotion, so far I do really like it. It has a green tea-herbal smell and it feels great on my skin as I apply it. It takes a minute or two to fully sink in, but it doesn't leave behind a residue.
GC to Pevonia
This little card is probably the best reason to get this box! Spend $15, get $15. Yes, Pevonia is a bit expensive, but if you were thinking of trying out the brand anyways this is the perfect time to do so. If you're not sure what to pick up, I recommend either the Hydrating Sunscreen, SPF 30 or Enzymo-Spherides Peeling Cream. I haven't used them at length yet (they're sitting here waiting to be used for a full review), but I've tried them out a few times and I've been impressed. The Peeling Cream is especially amazing. It has little spheres with enzymes to exfoliate inside little grains. Rub on, wait 2 minutes and then rinse off to glowy, smoother skin.
