SK-II's Facial Treatment Essence: A Little Holiday Pampering

You have to admit, Cate Blanchett probably has the most amazing skin in the world. Not just Hollywood, the entire world. It is insane how clear and luminous her skin appears. And she really does use SK-II products.

SK-II focuses on their unique ingredient, Pitera. It was discovered at a sake brewery in Japan, where scientists noticed the elderly workers had wrinkled faces, but extraordinarily soft and youthful-looking hands. These hands were in constant contact with the sake fermentation process. It took years of research for scientists to isolate the miracle ingredient Pitera, a naturally derived liquid from the yeast fermentation process. For the past 30 years it has been featured in their Facial Treatment Essence, which is 90% Pitera.

This holiday season they've released a special Limited Edition version of FTE. ROCHAS creative lead, Marco Zanini created the design for the bottle, which I think is beautiful! This is a great gift for someone that you think needs a little pampering.

I really like SK II Facial Treatment Essence, maybe I should get this as treat, a nice looking bottle on my dressing table.

I don't know, I've never seen a full list of ingredients. Sorry!

Hi Christine!

Here are the ingredients: Saccharomycopsis Ferment Filtrate (Pitera), Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Water, Sodium Benzoate, Methylparaben, Sorbic Acid

Their website recommend this product for pregnant women but I would like to know your opinion :) Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I am on my 10th week and your pregnancy skincare list has been my go-to list! I've been using this product for years but decided to stop when i found out I'm pregnant since I'm not really sure if it's safe. Would appreciate your input!
