They are insanely easy to use for a smoky eye look. The lightest shade goes all over the lid and browbone. Midtone to the crease and outer corner. Use the deepest shade close to your lash line. Done!
I tried out the Smoky Mauve trio, though I full admit to loving the other 2 as well. I might need to pick up the others as well!
• Smoky Neutrals: Coffee Ground, Bamboo, Stellar
• Smoky Mauves: Kir Royal, Wisteria, Sparkling Dew
• Smoky Taupes: Twilight Grey, Sable, Mica
You can see in this swatch that Sparkling Dew really is so light that it virtually disappears into my skin. It is a matte shadow with good pigmentation and while it can look mostly pink in the palette, on the skin it is more of a peachy/pink shade. Wisteria isn't just a straight mauve either, it definitely has a hint of peach added to keep it more wearable. The finish is frosted, though not the ugly frost of the 80s, here it brings a very pretty metallic sheen. Finally, Kir Royal has some shimmer though it doesn't all translate over on to the lid.
Which set will make it to your Wish List?
11/8 Update! My friend Sarah over at Beauty Banter posted a FOTD with this trio today. You need to check it out! Sarah looks amazing!
