Face Stockholm Summer: Summer Overture
I loved, loved, loved FACE Stockholm's Spring Collection, inspired by the Pre-Raphaelites.
They've done it again, this time with Baroque. The press release says "The dulcet bliss of the first scoup of sorbet, the passionate exhilaration of a Baroque concerto... our look for Summer 2011 is subtle, sweet and deliciously different. The inspiration is more the summer in general, and you can see from the image provided that the idea is really very soft, classic and perfect for the hot lazy days of summer.
And, in case you were wondering, Baroque was late 16th century to the early 18th century in Europe. The fashions and architecture were very opulant, the music was Pachelbel, Vivaldi, Handel and Bach. When I think of Baroque the model in this picture very much exemplifies the beauty of the era. The big, elaborate hair do, but the face is very fresh with a flawless complexion.
The collection is very small, with only a few items needed to create the look.
Foundation: Mineral Powder Foundation SPF 15
Cheeks: Sun Kissed Blush, Dignity Highlighter
Eyes & Brows: Kiki Pencil, Angel Pink Matte Eye Shadow, Dignity Highlighter, Clear Mascara
Lips: Nypon Ros
I tried out the blush and lip gloss, Nypon Ros.
This picture doesn't truly do these shades justice. They are incredibly pretty in real life! The blush is the perfect amount of flush for my complexion, blends easily and lasts for hours. The lip gloss has shimmer, but isn't sticky and does fine for about 4 hours of wear (or until the next time I eat). I love that it does offer some background color in addition to the shimmer.
